FWIW My Porsche extended warranty specifically includes the HV Battery - The only mention is that it's in the list of components covered...... but as Chun says - on the same page are so many exclusions and caveats, I am not sure its worth anything...

can you share a picture of this? when did you get the new warranty? I renewed by extended warranty in Nov 2025. I will try and pull this out for more info.

EDIT: checked my terms. it does not mention HV battery.

It includes HV Battery Manufacturing Defects.
it excludes normal wear and tear.
Interpretation has not yet been tested!

The web site marketing info is misleading.
Are you looking at the Sept 25 terms doc?

https://assets-v2.porsche.com/gb/-/...Approved-Warranty-Terms-and-Conditions_092025

It is the terms and conditions doc which matters.
This has:
Vehicle systems/covered:
• Engine.
• Fuel/cooling system.
• Drivetrain/transmission.
• Suspension/steering.
• Braking system.
• Heating/air conditioning system
• Electrical system.
• High-voltage battery.
• Bodywork.

The only change to the list above published September 25 was the addition of the HV battery.

Note no other EV specific systems or components are explicitly included or excluded.
As an example a traction motor, which is more costly than a HV battery module replacement, is a Drivetrain component. Charging system components are part of the Electrical System.
And so on.
(My interpretation).

What constitutes normal wear and tear is subjectIve and can be challenged.

Surely the most likely issue is a failed module. That is not age related. its easily provable.

Easily provable how?
You will need an independent expert with testimony and go to court most likely.

Unless Porsche decides to do the right thing.

The warranty says literally "Aging related faults are not covered for HV battery", and PIWIS says "module aging detected" when you do diagnosis.
Do you think the wording was a coincidence? I think not.

If there is a short circuit in the battery (e.g. water ingress due to previously badly done repair etc) then I'd imagine that would be covered, but this whole "module aging" thing does not give much hope that they will cover module replacements under Porsche Approved.

Its quite simple as the module voltages will show one has dropped. There is no magic to it. They can be read either on car via the diags or off car with a multimeter. No magic required.

Of course we know which module has dropped voltage, but the fault code that PIWIS shows is "Aging detected" for the modules that have the lower voltage. It uses this specific wording since ARB6/ARB7 recall software was installed.

If they start denying coverage based on that, then your only recourse is suing and arguing that the car becoming bricked with red fault is not "normal aging" of the HV battery no matter that the factory diagnostic tool says it is.

That’s the high level summary. It’s the terms and conditions that matter. The key part there is what constitutes normal wear and tear. Atypical wear and tear resulting in failure isn’t normal.
