Hi. I'm in the process of choosing a home charger and wondered if anyone has this one? Its looks great and has good features.

I have the 2.0 version and it works seamlessly with the Taycan. Set the timer in the car (or via the Porsche app), plug in the charger and it will do the rest for you overnight.

Hypervolt app is pretty good.

Looks good too. It will also connect to solar panels (we are planning on getting solar this year, so was a reason for this choice).

You'd like to think the 3.0 will be even better!

As @korsikoff I have had same positive experiences of the version 2.0 I’ve been really impressed with it.

Hi, did you go for this in the end or still deciding? I’m fast approaching needing to choose one. Thanks.

thread necromancy - can you see the taycans SoC from the app/api? or does it fully rely on your car having the charging profile set up? would quite like to be able to see the SoC from within the house without having to go to the car to see (I don't subscribe to connect)

Porsche app allows you to see car SoC while charging. Does it need connect?

You could also buy a smart meter interface between the plug and the charger if it doesn't show. But it is 1 extra failure point.

The porsche charger that came with the car also allows you to see the charge SoC, if you connect it to wifi, on its web interface i believe.

lol thanks. but
a) porsche app needs connect sub to see the SoC etc. only thing you can do without it is to turn on the preconditioning
b) not sure how an interface between the plug and charger will determine the SoC of the car?
c) my car didn't come with a porsche charger :-( but will be getting the hypervolt one next week (as per this thread title)

B). it mesures the KW used, and you know the battery is 83kw.
C). i thought all cars come with one

In switzerland there are a few public (with qr for payment) ones in parkings. They do show the consumed kw, but no %. It might differ if you are the owner of it, and not just a user maybe.

ah ok then in that case, i''m pretty sure the hypervolt charger is able to report/limit kw used. but its still not ideal way of knowing the SoC given that its not a 1:1 ratio of power in:SoC%.

c) apparently not :-( and if so, mine didn't (i didn't buy new).
i guess if fancy schmancy super fast public chargers can't determine the SoC of the car then there isn't much possiblity of a home charger being able to do so. ho hum , i'll look into alternative methods of gleening that informantion (obd2 etc)
