IMPAIRED CHARGING PORT (AC/DC) MESSAGE APPEARD ON DISPLAY LAST WEEK. AC/DC PORT NOW LOCKED CLOSED AND AC PORT ON OPPOSITE SIDE LOCKED OPEN! CURRENTLY WITH DEALER. AWAITING FIX. IS THIS SOFTWARE ISSUE? TAYCAN GTS WITH ELECTRONIC PORT DOORS OPENING WITH SWIPE OF HAND. THANKS FOR ANY ASSISTANCE.

The pic was my car yesterday.

Error message flashing on and off whilst driving for last few days and I can't switch the thing off.
Infuriating.

Mine has manual port doors and is RH drive (so it AC side).
All is working fine apart from the stupid message. So I assume the sensor is broken.

Phoned Porsche. Earliest available slot for a Taycan (without loaner) is mid Sept. Oct with a loaner.
2 to 3 months just to get (yet another) fault looked at is Completely unacceptable!

Can't wait to get rid and move on from my 'Porsche experience'.

this seems to be becoming a common pattern. I was offered mid September for a fault but by phoning around dealers, I found a July slot — but no loaner and I have to pay them £50 to collect and deliver my car.

I wonder whether Porsche UK is tracking this issue of fault times, which must surely be hurting their brand reputation. It’s starting to feel as though the UK has too few Taycan-trained technicians AND the Taycan has too many faults and recalls.
