Instrument panel top visor cover

Hi all, did anyone tried to add the cover that usually comes with the heads-up display onto none heads-up display instrument panel to cover it and give it a full closed finish?

this is the part without the heads-up display - it seems you just place it on top?

I much prefer the open look - gives the dash some interest (sadly, on that front, I have a HUD ).

Does the HUD unit itself fit where the non-HUD central "rib" goes?

Based on the drawing, It seems it fits right under, and this is just a standalone cover you put over. I am not able to find the installation instructions

You will need matching left and right top of dashboard pieces as well.
