Has anyone successfully changed out their interior B-pillar trim?

Do these part numbers look like approximately the correct ones to do so, if I wanted to replace base plastic with Race-Tex?
Door pillar post trim set (right)
Door pillar post trim set (left)

My vehicle will be a 4S CT, Slate Race-Tex interior. If the above seem close to correct I plan to chat with Suncoast et al to double-check the match.

I found old threads in which this was discussed, but the conclusion at the time was that no one could find a way to source them if original VIN didn’t have the same B-pillar material as replacement part. But maybe it’s easier now with some more specific part numbers posted?

Would be interested to see your outcome. Have been wanting to do this to my sedan as well.

https://superetka.com/etka/?lang=EN&marke=PO for all your part lookups, https://superetka.com/etka/?lang=EN&marke=PO&model=1&year=4&mainGr=8&subGr=7788#aa07 for the b-pillar specifically

looks like they made an update to the part at some point but for slate race-tex i think you want 9J1-867-243-C-OU6 & 9J1-867-244-C-OU6
Looks to me from other sites like that part number is for Sedan?

The Superetka site you link needs a login, and rejects my request to make a new user, so not sure what it's all about.

Well, unable to locate in the real parts catalog for ordering. I’m guessing this part is being treated like Exclusive Manufaktur.

I found a thread in german in another forum that indicated these parts were briefly in the catalog for a year but disappeared and did not return.

Unfortunately Porsche took down the MY2024 version of the Configurator this week and the option is not available on the MY2025s.

My dealer did it during the brake recall and 2 year service work. They charged me $5 per fitting.
All good now.
Grand scheme of things, I'm Ok with that

That’s awesome! You changed from hard plastic to race-tex? You don’t happen to have the part numbers?

@julianm this seems like a great opportunity to form a better relationship with your dealer parts department. I've used mine to verify or look up part numbers and they may be willing to negotiate on price if you go down in person. Plus you can browse the showroom and fantasy shop!

Yes would love to. It's a lot tougher to form any sort of relationship with Porsche affiliates in this area, since there are a lot of folks with a lot more money being much more regular customers than me. Was tough enough to buy an on-lot vehicle when I wanted it.

Might be more cost effective to have an upholstery shop wrap them vs. OE Porsche part cost. Relicate has OE alcantara material.

Holy thread resurrection! Anybody happen to have part numbers for lower B-pillar trim panels in Race-Tex (preferably black). I think the part numbers start with 9J1-867-239 for one side and 9J1-867-240 for the other, but revision and color/finish code suffixes vary quite a bit...

I think I've found the correct parts @ Sunset Porsche Parts but sent them an email to check/confirm and haven't heard back (yet). Don't want to post those part numbers here if they're incorrect... Will report back with what they say.

But in the meantime... if anyone knows for sure, please share! Gotta get rid of that black plastic eww.

Lmk what you find out. I'm probably also doing this retrofit.. $100 is not bad for a little alcantara

Are you planning to swap the upper trim?
$1300 per side!

I actually ordered what I think are the correct parts - will report back when I get them/if they're indeed correct.

My upper B-pillar trims are already Race-Tex (standard in the GTS) but the seat belt outlets are of the adjustable (slide up/down a little) variety - don't think there's a Race-Tex version of that for the Taycan, as the material would probably mess with the adjustability. I think that part you linked to @Flying ace is a 911 part...
