Interior lighting without ambient lighting pack?

hi all,
had my my22 turbo for nearly 6 months now and I've only just driven it at night!.
first thing I noticed was the lack of lighting inside.
I didnt notice any lighting under any of the footwells at all, but I did have lighting in the door storage areas?!
is there a certain thing that needs to happen before the footwells lights come on?

Not in mine.

Though iirc if you have ambient lighting you can change the brightness in various zones.

There are settings for ambient light somewhere in the PCM. Have a play.

thanksbut as I say, I don't have the ambient light package in mine. I see a interior lighting option in the menus but it just changes the overall brightness and if I want coming home lighting on or off. do you have ambient lighting package? or have seen a car without it?

There are no lights in foot area if you don’t have ambient lights package.
