One of the functions of Taycan's thermal management system is to heat the HV battery when needed. What was the HV battery temperature when you observed that range estimate?

19 degrees. The car had charged overnight and was left plugged in, but it was probably a few hours since had stopped charging. Unheated attached garage but, it’s usually about 10 or 15° above outside temperature.

I wonder if once you drive it and the battery is heated, whether potential increase in battery temp less energy expended in heating it changes the car's net estimated range.

I took those photos after having driven about four or 5 miles at lower speeds on my way into town. I was basically waiting for the temperature outside to become accurate compared to my garage. Is what you’re asking that if I had driven a longer distance over more time the battery temperature would’ve changed and with it the estimated mileage?

I have not noticed an increase while driving. The temperature is 8F to 15F, the charge is 85%, and the range is 185 to 192 miles. What you reported is close to what I get. No problem; enjoy the Taycan experience.

The last 2 cold fronts my loss seems more extreme started pre heated and plugged in .. maybe cold + winter tires.

when I spent time in places with temps that low and the car had to be parked outdoors I would always try to plug the car in. even a 110 line will help keep the battery "happy"

Minus 27 this AM. Then I realized being retired, didn’t need to even go into the garage to check the available mileage. Although, it is supposed to be above zero today!

When it is 10 degrees or below, I try to remember to preheat car while plugged in before leaving the garage (Which I keep at about 50 degrees Farenheit ).
