Just received my PEC invite - ordered a GTS ST - good news?

Absolutely no bearing. Depends whether your SE has remembered to send the invite or not. Invite for Taycan for me happened when by coincidence I emailed my SE about my order. Told me he was leaving that branch the next day. Received the invite within 30mins.
Order for the Mrs Macan. Dealer finally received the car yesterday. Still no invite.

I specifically spoke about the PEC with my dealer during our test drive in the Taycan GTS. All Porsche staff, or at least the dealers, get it as part of their training would you believe.

What a training that would be!

I suppose it does provide more intimate knowledge of what they are selling.

Perhaps that's why I've received the invite as my dealer knew I was expecting to receive it - so they expedited it?

According to the email received, you can indeed bring a guest as an additional driver on the day at a cost of £472. Alternatively, that one guest can spectate for free:

If you wish, you are welcome to bring a spectating guest with you on the day. Alternatively you may wish to book an additional experience for them to enjoy at the same time. We are pleased to offer your guest the special rate of £472.00.​

If you attend the PEC and later cancel your order, you are billed the £472.

A normal Experience (half) Day at Porsche Silverstone is around £590, so it's not much of discount. If you want to drive a 911, that comes at a £60 premium.

Ah. I hadn't noticed they offered a deal on bringing a paying guest. I rather thought the OP meant someone to come and share his experience (for free).

I haven't been for years, so perhaps unfair comparison now, but for that sort of money, i think I'd do Palmer Sport instead for a track day experience. Admittedly it wouldn't be in a porker, but as much as i enjoyed PEC, i thought the day out i had at Palmer's was much more fun.

Palmersport is more fun, PEC is (or should be) more useful in terms of learning about ‘your car’. In my opinion!

I don't think that's quite right. I don't think anyone else allowed in the car (passenger) either. face masks still enforced.
My understanding was you could bring a guest but as an observer only from the building/balcony. Shame really, I'm sure my son would have enjoyed a ride in the back seat. Until the power of TicTok overcame him after 4 minutes.

I went with a friend who had also just bought a car/had a free session. You don't really do anything in tandem (i.e. you can't race each other), so not that big a deal if you go on your own.

I was going to say that you can split the drive time. Wife and I have done this with every PEC day.

You'll get to drive the model you ordered only and it's a safe way to explore the car's capabilities in terms of acceleration, braking, handling and some high speed elements too - great food too. Enjoy.

I upgraded my car when I booked it to a turbo s. Cost me £45 but was worth it! We ordered a CT4 but at least I know what the car can do and don’t think I’ll ever approach those limits on a normal road or even come close. The CT4 definitely for me is enough power for the road and day to day driving.

She probably won’t want to drive more than 30-45mins of the time anyway. I offered to pay for her to have the full experience but she wasn't bothered.

I had my PEC experience today, confirming that it was no problem to split the driving time - both drivers need to present their licences at registration. However, they don’t allow the other driver to be in the car at the same time.

Got my invite today (ordered 7th Feb).

Despite knowing it means nothing in terms of delivery date etc... it's made it all feel more "certain"

Will see if the OH wants to split the time. I suspect it might be a headache logistically for us so will have to take one for the team

I felt the very same feeling and then a vacant emptiness that has lasted ever since. Woe betide my first world problems. At this moment in time, the PEC is more of a punishment than a perk. Porsche are literally abusing us with a big tease and then a guessing game.

It absolutely is a logistical nightmare with the OH! You need to truly understand if PDCC is worth it and another driver distracts from that. Therein lies the perfect excuse reason.

I'm out of the UK until mid-June. Be great to meet the regulars on this forum, so we could coordinate on the same day, if not for me to be convinced a Race-Tex interior really is what I wanted all along.

Thinking late June or July.
