As I eagerly await the arrival of my Taycan in about 2 weeks, I was wondering if anyone had to put together a current list of key updates to make sure are installed. I want to ask my SA to make sure that things like the alarm sensor, going into park, etc. are fixed and I do not have to go back for another trip right after delivery for documented issues.

Thanks.

The problem now is that there are lots of historical updates that may or may not apply to any given car, so it won't even be a question of whether the update was applied. When I acquired my car in 2020 and created a pickup list, it was easy, as all the cars were essentially in the same manufactured state. Even here, you see variation from country to country as to which updates (WNA5, WNA7, etc.) are actually applicable. Worse, there is not a lot of information as to whether a vehicle can even receive a particular update. So even if you had an update list, the most you'd get from a dealer is for them to log into the system and have them tell you "I don't see it for your car" which is the same answer you'd get if you didn't even have the list to begin with.

Your car will be relatively up to date depending on when it left production.
I would guess that the only things applicable to your car would be any software updates that were released after your car left production, and/or any service campaigns that production has intentionally deferred to dealers for pre/post delivery.

At the time of PDI, your dealer’s service department will look up your VIN to see if there are any open recalls or service campaigns in order to implement them.
