My car has lost its connection to the Porsche servers - again. Last happened a few months ago. Last time the Porsche app people told me to factory reset the car which turned out to be a real nuisance. Ended up getting reset by OPC. Anyone else having trouble at the moment?

I know I could try disconnecting the 12V battery, but if this causes any other issues that becomes my fault rather than their problem to fix. I suppose I will give it a few days then phone OPC. Then wait 6 weeks for them to give me a date to sort it. Not the end of the world, but a bit annoying

My Turbo S has been back to the dealership around 8 times in the last 3 years for this issue. They replaced some hardware a few months ago and that fixed the issue for 3 weeks. The car went back in and they did something that has resulted in my data connection being stable for the last couple of months. I don’t know what they did and they probably don’t either.

Do you have the = with the \ through it on the upper-left of your PCM display?

Yes I do. There should be LTE where that symbol is

Indeed there should. I didn’t attempt any battery disconnects or other potentially risky stuff, I just threatened my dealer with legal action. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 covers this in the UK.

I have a 21 taycan and just had the same problem. Center and driver screens went blank. Tried a few things like you did, but called Porche dealer and was told that it would probably come back after sitting off for an hour, which it did. So far no other problems. They said it was probably a programming glitch.

Having planned to ring my OPC next week to book in and sort out the problem, my car popped up with an OTA message today and has regained its connection to the Porsche servers. I have no idea why. I didn’t do anything to it to try and make this happen but am obviously pleased that it has sorted itself out. Maybe the current software in the car re-boots it after a period on no connection. I have no idea, just pleased it works again. It was down for about 1 week.

The Taycan no LTE/datacomm connection problem often fixes itself after a couple of days. Glad it worked out for you.
