Love this car

2023 Taycan RWD in Ice Grey Metallic with blue/black leather interior. I love how the car looks and drives. Stereo also sounds great; sometimes a few glitches switching between Carplay and the radio. For some reason I am reluctant to tell friends, neighbors and colleagues about my new car, because I feel as if I would be showing off.

I feel you, I had the same doubts the first months. I decided to not tell my colleagues and only tell my best friends. Family, neighbors and regular friends will eventually see the car, but I'm not afraid of the reactions from them.

When we are talking about cars at the office, and someone asks me what I ride, I just answer "A blue one" or "An EV". Here in the Netherlands, everything more expensive than - let's say - an Audi a4 is seen as a show off car. We don't show success in our country.

Being able to share your thoughts and enthusiasm about your car is one of the best parts of forums like this. I also dont talk about my car much with friends….just seems a bit weird since this isn’t something they are generally into. Also, given the cost of this “hobby”, it could easily be taken the wrong way.

I've had mine for almost a year and no one out in the wild talks to me about it. On the other hand, I got a 1999 4Runner this summer as a foil to the Taycan and people complement it on almost every drive. Who knew...
