I've recently taken possession of my new Taycan 4S and am now, unfortunately, in a position where I need to sell it.

It has 122 miles on it as it sits and has not been launched or anything of that nature. I haven't even charged it yet.

It includes all charging accessories including the housing to mount in your garage (which has never been installed).

A few pictures can be seen here though more will be added to the album upon request: 2020 Porsche Taycan 4S. I'll get some more shots of the interior soon however it just looks like a brand new interior.

I am asking $140,000 which is about $17k below MSRP. That said, I am not in any rush to sell and will not entertain low-ball offers.

The build code is PLHS1KQ5 if you want to plug it into the configurator though I'll copy and paste that here as well:

Sorry to hear that it isn't working out for you.

Are you planning on moving to a different Porsche? If so, it might be worth reaching out to Luke at Grapevine.

What are you hoping to get for it? I'm a little concerned that with such a high specced 4S, but missing Chrono & RAS, you might be in for a pretty big hit.. ie in the $15-20k range.

Thanks for the reply, Frank.

I'm not quite sure what I'll be moving onto just yet. We have more cars than we know what to do with so I don't really *need* another car. I also have a low-mileage 2016 BMW M3 if anyone is interested in a package deal ;)

As for Chrono & RAS, I never had any intentions of driving the car hard enough for that to matter so, in my opinion, it wasn't worth the extra cash at that point. This was just going to be my daily driver.

I'm hoping just to get some offers and let the market decide. I figure for someone who wants a highly spec'd 4S without the wait it might be a good deal for them.

Much appreciated, Nick!

I do absolutely love this car. It's gorgeous and drives like a dream. I've driven it all of 3 times and every time it turns heads, people point, etc. I even had a guy stop in an intersection to take a picture from his car, haha.

Perhaps another will be in my future at a later date. For now though, I'm hoping someone that either doesn't want to wait for a build or wants a bit of a discount finds this ad.

I've recently taken possession of my new Taycan 4S and am now, unfortunately, in a position where I need to sell it. COVID has hurt us a bit and we've also recently found out that my wife is pregnant so we'll be starting a family soon. So as much as I do love this car, it needs to go.

Sorry to hear you'll be giving up the Taycan, but congratulations on the upcoming family addition!

Do you have a dollar amount in your mind you are hoping for? I know a couple of people casually looking and they're going to want at least an idea. Also, do consider that the new owner will not be able to claim the $7,500 federal tax credit, but you will, so I imagine that will get factored in to the price as well.

Thank you for the kind words, Brent!

I suppose I don't have an exact dollar amount in mind though I'd obviously like to not lose too much, all things considered. I had thought about the $7,500 tax credit and agree that it should be factored into the selling price. It's not fair to the new owner to have to lose out on that considering how new the car is. It's also a nice incentive to basically get the rebate instantly instead of having to wait for tax season.

I would say that any potential offers should be based off of the MSRP less the $7,500 tax credit; let's call it $150k for simplicity's sake.

I'm just looking for the best offer. If you think your clients might be interested, I can provide my contact info or you can correspond with me on here via pm.

Alright, after getting a few lower offers, I've decided to put a number on it. I'm now asking $145,000 which is about $12k below MSRP. Keep in mind that this is basically an instant $7,500 tax credit plus about $4,500 off.

I'm still accepting offers of course but I'm hoping this is enticing enough on a practically brand new Taycan.

wow!!
Quite a spectacular build !
So sorry to hear you’ve decided to let it go ...
Have you thought about driving it a bit more to really see the potential as a daily driver car even with a family? I mean it has 4 door, isofix for baby car seats , AWD.... what more do you want? ;-)

Thank you for the kind words. I do agree with all points mentioned! Unfortunately there are other factors that I have to consider as well. Selling it is what would make the most sense for us at this time.

Just to be realistic, there's no one that will say yes at $145k.

I'd say $140k is the absolute dream scenario for your car and $125-135 is more likely.

You're really only offering $4,500 off MSRP and what you need to keep in mind is your car is heavily specc'd with an unusual combination of options. It's not a car people will be able to say "oh that's nearly what I would have specced anyway!" so you're going to pay a sizeable option penalty.

There are lots of 4S cars available right now on lots and yours is just too expensive for a non-Turbo.

I feel like I've covered most of that in my previous messages and I also have left the door open for offers. Again, letting the market speak for itself. If that ends up being 125k then that's what it is. Will I take that offer? No. But if that's what it is then that's what it is.

Now is the car highly specced? Yes. Is it oddly specced? I don't think so but to each their own. It did, and still does, make sense to me.

But I digress. I truly just want this to go to someone who sees the value in picking up a nicely specced car at a discount.

While I do not necessarily disagree about the price, I am interested to know what options the forum thinks are "unusual" in his configuration. Is it simply that it is a high-end 4S?

I'm not sure 'unusual' is the right adjective but I might suggest 'uncommon'. I wonder, for example, how many Taycans spec the Mission E 21" wheels and PSCB brakes but none of the other performance options (PTV+, PDCC, Rear Wheel Steering, etc). This is where I think it limits the market of potential buyers.

Outside of the performance adds, which @NoMonkey explained above, it's a really well optioned car. This vehicle has many of the creature comforts and cosmetic modifications including the Burmester stereo, the passenger screen and rear AC touchscreen, puddle lights, etc. and a high-spec of driver aids including InnoDrive. I'm genuinely curious what it sells for. One thing is for sure, someone is going to get a really nice car at probably a really nice price.
