Have a 2022 Taycan and have been charging with Porsche's Mobile Charger Connect with no issues for 5 months. For the last two charges, the car charged as set for 80% but the on the Charger Connect Display got this message "device temperature is too high reduce charging power in device setting and avoid direct sun exposure." The temperature in the garage is not hot and neither the car of the charger is in direct sunlight

I think there are numerous past threads on this.

Is the EVSE in a Porsche dock or open air? If in a dock, try opening the door.

In either case, you can try to put a fan on it.

In the end, you may have to reduce the charging current.

Sorry. PMCC was kind of notorious for overheating in the US, especially in a dock. I expect a lot of posts about it this summer.

Could be a separate device issue also, but not my first guess given its history.

FWIW I have my charger mounted on the garage wall and have never had an overheat issues even in S. Florida summer. It is mounted with the supplied bracket - NOT inside a dock.
