Guess you haven’t tried the mount. Thanks! Why do you need to see your phone while driving? You can call and navigate through PCM, Android Auto and Carplay. Most apps on your phone are also accessibly through Android Auto and Carplay. Porsche did hide the phone mount for a reason, for your and others safety.
I went for the Proclip and it works incredibly well - you will definitely like it.Has anyone tried this mount? It looks like it could potentially handle the funky vents on the Taycan.
I tried this one but It wouldn't close enough to secure to the thing vent guard, or whatever you call it. It worked great in my Macan but that has ordinary vents. I've decided to try the proclip, which I have on order now.

Agreed. I needed one for the road trip, but felt how flimsy it was so didn't dare mount it there. I bought a suction cup style one and put it on the dash. It worked extremely well until I removed it after the trip and saw that it left this circular indentation in the dash that I just couldn't get it smoothed out. I finally pulled the car out of the garage and parked on the driveway in the sun, and after an hour under the sun, it disappeared. Now I am in search of a new holder for the next trip. The manual specifically say not to mount anything on the vents because they can brake of.
