Hi

Has anyone successfully managed to get two timers to work?

What I would like to do is have my car charge between 23.30 and 05.30 on one timer and then have the car pre-condition the cabin (remote climate control) to 21 degrees ready for 08.30.

I have set two timers, and although the car charges between these times, i never completes the second timer and heats the car for 08.30.

In the app it just says 'charging process complete'.

Do you have the timers set to repeat?

[BTW: I'm not sure if it's possible but you might want to update the title of this thread to make it clear you're asking about multiple timers, otherwise you'll likely get the usual "search the forum" responses]

Thank you - I have changed the title.

And yes, in answer to your question, I have the charging timer to repeat everyday, and the climate timer to repeat every weekday!

I'm tempted to say you can't have both as the earlier timer takes priority which in your scenario doesn't include the preheat / precool.

I think you are probably right, but I'm hoping you are wrong!

I set have 2 timers set. The first I charge to 80% and 7 am (to take advantage of cheap electricity rates). I than have a second one at 945 am to 85% and climate control set to 20 c. I have found if I dont increase the charge the car uses the battery to pre heat/coolant instead of the grid. With that being said it works 75% of the time. Not sure why this is.

Ah ok. Maybe I’ll try and add a bit of charge in on the second timer to see if that makes it work. Thank you.

I'm working on this too.. Have split the Charging and Heating timers:

Porsche Taycan Multiple Timers Question 1762197258602-xd

Have activated the above last night, aiming for it to cover my Mon-Fri requirements without fiddling every day.

I guess I could combine the morning timers, but won't plug in every night - and running no risk of not having a preheated car. (With Charging and Heating combined on one Timer, and when not plugging in the car, maybe the Heating part of the timer will get ignored?)

Results

Timer 1 - resulted in the desired SoC being achieved by the desired time 80% by 05:30 (end of IOG 7p window) . I checked the SoC at 06:00 since I'm experimenting with Octopus & Andersen integration - but that's another thread - and it was at 80%.

Timer 2 - resulted in the car being heated ahead of my planned 07:25 departure
- By 07:30 when I departed, the battery was actually at 81%, so I checked the Andersen app, and I can tell that the car drew charge during the Heating (only) timer, and for a period of 17 minutes, added 2.1kWh. So it seems that, if the car is connected, it will draw power from the charger for heating as opposed to from the battery. Apols if this is a known fact, I'm new here.
(I feel neutral about this approach. It seems to try avoid compromising the desired CoS, which is good, but then uses expensive energy to do so.)

Timer 3 - resulted in the desired preheat ahead of my return journey. No charging cable connected so this was off the battery.

So in my limited experience, multiple timers can work.

Thank you. That's encouraging, and it means I have probably done something wrong somewhere, or I have something else conflicting with the timers. I might delete everything I have in settings for timers and start again.
