Looking at the spec of the car I have on order, it just says LED headlights and doesn’t give any more spec.
the standard lights on the website for the facelift says LED matrix headlights.
can anyone point me to where I can get the spec for the MY24 std LED lights please?

If it’s a pre facelift MY24, then the standard lights are led with pdls+.

The standard LED lights on a CT4 are PDLS.
On a CT4S it PDLS+.
Gives you main beam assist.
You can FoD up to + on a CT4

Not sure about Turbo and Turbo S
They get matrix I think.

All Taycan II get matrix (at least) as standard

When I did my first spec for a CT4S I wanted matrix lights but the salesman said they already have PDLS+ which is optional on the 911 so don't bother.

I still specced them, I liked them on our Prius PHEV but had to drop them when the final spec was confirmed since they were temporarily unavailable.

I don't drive as much at night as I did they are very good but I miss the fewer blind spots of the Prius, which I actually choose over the Taycan more often than I had expected.

I think is more related to the height and shape of the car than the quality. I like the standard lights of the Taycan CT moving around bends and the auto beam is very good.
however the LED lights of my Van, Transporter t6.1 are far superior. I think it’s all about where the headlight seats and on the Transporter are very high up compared to the Taycan.

If you have a car on order make sure you get MY25 and not MY24 (if you can wait) - makes no sense otherwise. MY25 should be on the roads from June onwards (my guess).

Features:

Porsche Taycan MY 24 CT std headlights Standard LEDs

Standard (Regular) have different plastic inserts:

Porsche Taycan MY 24 CT std headlights Taycan MY20 - MY24 Lights

GTS and upwards all have Matrix LEDs (with PDLS+)

Hi Winge , many thanks for the reply the car is a pre reg at insane discount the MY25 option was just out of budget for me.
But I appreciate the logic otherwise, from research looks likeI can upgrade to PDSL+ if i think it would be worth it and TBH as long as mine will auto dip and corner turn I think I will be happy.
My X5 has the led masking and it does seem to annoy other motorists so i don't think I will miss the LED Matrix thing

No worries.

Matrix is the one to go for - very good IMHO. MY25 Matrix goes to a new level with 32K LEDs compared to 84 LEDs. Price premium of course and probably not justified over and above standard matrix offering and so funds can be diverted elsewhere e.g. Rear Wheel Steering.

The main thing that annoys other motorists with X5 and other SUVs is the height the headlights are fitted at, however adjusted they are regularly at an annoying height for ‘normal’ car drivers - another reason to add to my list for disliking SUVs.

@Ross I am interested to learn more about the PDLS on the CT4. This is the model that I have (MY24), and I am not sure if I have PDLS. Does this mean that the swivel function should be standard on my model? If it is, I have not seen them working, or probably just not noticed. Where did you get the info from? Thanks.

Have you switched the function on?

Swivelling won't be noticeable when driving. Try turning the wheels whe stationary to see the effect.

Thanks @W1NGE . I will try this, perhaps it is working, I just assumed I would notice this. I was not aware you had to switch it on, so that might be where I am going wrong...?

If you'd like to feel any better about your decision, I deliberately wanted a MY24 on the theory that the final year before a relatively major model change is most likely to have fewer problems necessitating service visits.

If your auto beam is functioning then it will be active. They're also speed sensitive as per my post above and the effect is even less obvious when pressing on.

Swivelling lights are am old concept these days - I had them on my first Porsche in 2003 and not a lot has changed since TBH.

Hi @MarkR, for auto high beam you need PDLS+. This might not be included as default on your CT4 (possibly market dependent).

It was the same on my car, so I just subscribe to this function during the winter months. Subscription is activated and paid for through the "my Porsche" pages. Works like a charm and you will also notice that the headlights gets a much more pronounced cornering effect as well.
