@McgR : Porsche has solution for your (burning sensation) problem: a hat…with a logo…for less than 40€ :giggle:
One of the few bits of driving advice I remember being given by my Dad when he taught me to drive was "beware of drivers wearing a hat" his experience was the sort of person who drives wearing a hat is not a good driver.
My experience confirms it. Nowadays the drivers I see who are the least competent are wearing a baseball hat backwards.

Got the same advice from my dad (and it confirms several times)... but I'm talking about baseball cap, normal (front) direction

Baseball cap fits the "can't drive a greasy stick up a dog's backside" as well as any other hat IME.
:)

Also.... a folding lid on the rear armrest with matching finish (leather/manmade) - plus or more sophisticated retractible cup holders - i.e. not permanently open to catch your elbow

On my A7 (and previous Merc) - they are fully retractible into the arm rest - and the armrest also has a padded lid for stowing phones and such out of sight. It's also comfortable to rest ones arm - which is kinda it's purpose - the clue is in its name 'armrest' for goodness sake.

Similar to century mode mentioned previously, it would be super handy to be able to use the cameras as a dash cam.

Just a bit of fun..... and please... this is not aimed to elicit replies like 'wish they would fix the existing functionality first'.... :)

2 new functionalities I would like on my cars are.....

1. Side bolsters that go fully flat to allow easy ingress and then move back to upright before moving off.

2. Adding a 'mirror folded in' function when on the move - that asks if you want to 'remember' the location to fold mirrors in - like it already does for lifts over obstacles. There are a number of narrow streets, traffic calming measures and country lanes around my area, where I always have to fold the mirrors in on my A7 to allow 2 vehicles to pass safely - It would be nice for the memory to do it in the same place without prompting.

Any other ideas out there?
Waiting for delivery of my 4S so I could be wrong about this one - ability to set radius for automatically raising the car. The Peach Arch border crossing between Canada and the US has LOTS of speedbumps ... so it would be great to set a really wide radius to catch them all ... (does this mean I cross the border too much?).

You don;t need radius for that.
simply lift before firet line, save the location…and that’s it. It will stay in highest position till you are not going to change drive mode.
and when you are coming back, just repeat (lift & save location).

Great ideas here although some feature requests seem to have been granted on my vehicle such as automatic locking when walking away from the car. I'll just throw two more ideas out there:

* Provide a radio station selector mode which displays 10-12 favorite FM stations by number (1,2,...) (or a more 21st Century identifier like "KCRU"). Stations would be user selectable via touchscreen.

* Allow driver to temporarily activate rear-view camera while driving. Some Hondas provide this and it can be very handy, esp. in vehicles where the driver has limited rearview visibility.

1. Shamelessly copy Tesla’s “Dog Mode”

2. Shamelessly copy Tesla’s “Sentry” feature

3. Give me an app where I can VERY simply set the “max charge level” and hit “charge”

4. Let me pre-filter charging networks in the navigation app, so I get to decide where I charge instead of that 1970’s-calculator-smart Porsche Route planner.

5. Lock my Taycan when I walk away automatically and DON’T Re-lock my car on my two year old’s fingers everytime I walk around the car…

6. Let me select which rear door to set childlock for

7. Give me a Highscore for fastest time between my starting point and destination, of myself and and any Taycan driver willing to share their time. Show me my best time shadow on the nav screen.

but most of all, and I am sorry because you asked to exclude bug fixes, but MOST OF ALL:

FIIIIX THE MOTHERSCHNICKIN’ BLUETOOTH ISSUES ALREADY, GODDAMMIT!!!! IT’S NOT SPACEX SCIENCE!!!

1. Spotify directly on Media.
2. Android Auto. Just rented a Kia Niro. The infotainment system has these features on the base model.
3. Better connectivity on Connect app.
