I would love settings to prefer certain charging networks (e.g. Ionity) in the route planning so that the car doesn’t route me to some unreliable, slow, expensive charger.

Yes Porsche won't see this - intended as less whingeblog - more wish-list - Anyways the whole list would need prioritising to most popular 5 or so before raising it with Porsche.
I like to think that somebody from Porsche is keeping an eye on public and owner sentiment about the Taycan and other models. I wonder has @Administrator looked at the site analytics for visitors from Stuttgart or Zuffenhausen? ;)

I’d like a lightweight option.
Electric motors for seats and doors are just pointless ballast if only 1 person drives the car.
Personalised driver’s seat.
Not sure what else can be taken out, one of the charge ports?

Simple “granny mode” interface to make it like a normal car with just sat nav and hands-free phone and no “logging on”.

I like a tilt/ slide metal sunroof massively more than glass but hardly a lightweight choice :)

My only functionality wish is that Porsche and associated dealerships develop and maintain a deep bench of qualified technicians and seamless parts inventory management to minimize time cars are parked at the dealership waiting to be fixed. Probably a "bridge too far" but one can hope.

Not sure it would achieve anything, but mebbies a consolidated, clustered and prioritised list could be produced and sent to Porsche on behalf of the forum, as a kind of suggested customer requirements for the next facelift/model - might carry some weight?

Spoken like the F1 guru you are :). To quote CA - 'Simplify, then add lightness'

I don’t think it would carry much weight. Perhaps as a source of an idea or two, or as one input among many others in validating features already under consideration for product development.

In my line of work (tech, software) some companies will solicit customer input and then that gets misinterpreted as some kind of democratized feature prioritization process - but that’s rarely the case. Typically that information is leveraged as an additional source of feature ideas, and for context and comprehension of use cases. No typical tech company treats that input as an obligation to be honored.

That said, it’s a fun exercise to go through - I’ve been enjoying seeing what others want from their Taycans!

Exactly :)
You can’t add too much lightness. :)

Making things simple requires genius though. You should see Patrick Head’s drawings. Sometimes he sweated over a component design for a very long time but when he had finished it was simple and elegant.
Edit, Patrick’s birthday today!

What I miss coming from my X5 I would like in the Taycan

soft close

the 8 preset buttons. Shouldn’t be too difficult to put some virtual preset button on the lower screen between the 5 icons and the AC control.

Coming from Audi A8 this is almost annoying not to have them. I would pay good extra.
also open/sliding roof somehow and easy and cheap way to darken The glass roof (not The 4k one.....).

I would have liked that too. Although until now m, even with bright sun I haven’t had any problem.

I would have also liked is a glass roof that could be opened. A Tacan Targa (CT in my case) would have been nice. I understand the negative effect on range when driving around with an opened sunroof but I wouldn’t use it on road trips anyway. Just on short trips around town.

What is the specific problem? I am starting to have an intermittent burning sensation on the top of my head when walking in the sun that I didn’t have 10 years ago. But I don’t have that in my car. Didn’t do any hot summer drives yet. I only have it for 4 weeks (the car not the baldish spot on my head).
