New member , Taycan after two weeks.......

Back in 2019, we test drove a Taycan. Not sure if that was a pre production or base -base model, but seating wasn't comfortable as well the drive was. With the bit of disappointment we left the dealership. Fast forward to now, we tried again and loved it!. Since I needed the car immediately & couldn't wait for the delivery, ended up buying a 2021 neptune blue Taycan with just 1700 miles.

This was our first non Lexus purchase in 23 years!!!!.

Since I like to keep cars in pristine condition, following were done ;
1. Front PPF (3M Scotchgard pro) by a 3M authorized shop
2. Panoramic roof with 3M ceramic window film (70% light pass through)
3. Rear window with 3M ceramic 35%
4. Entire car was polished with Porsche paint polish (very comparable to Modesta P01 primer but way cheaper!). It also acts as a primer to bring out more depth and clarity
5. Carpro cquartz 3.0 topped with Carpro gliss
6. Windshield was treated with invisible glass ceramic coating


What I like in Taycan, very many but will limit to top few;
1. Sexy and sleek design (exterior)
2. Minimalistic but yet elegant & functional interior
3. Stylish and modern displays
4. Responsive steering
5. Comfort driving

To do list;
1. Software updates by dealer
2. Replace yellow side marker with transparent ones
3. Means to install rear illuminated Porsche logo
4. Test more on Porsche intelligent range manager in conjunction with innodrive and map
5. Install rim guard
6. Rear and side plastic molding color change to gloss black

Also ordered an Audi e-tron which reached the port. Most likely we will take the delivery in couple of week.

Congratulations! Sounds like you will have two very similar cars soon!

Good luck with #3 (illuminated Porsche logo). We have yet to receive any reports of anyone actually getting this done successfully. Many would like to have it!

For #3, I am thinking more along custom module to power those. There is always an element of risk interfering with factory wiring when it comes to warranty and such. I will be at the dealership in couple of days, planning to talk to their technician if possible to get more info.
