The tested versions aren’t intended for the track, but when the performance versions of both cars were in actual races, ironically the Taycan wilted first, losing to the Model 3P.

Back on topic, while the Taycan’s efficiency has been improved, it still trails the best in the industry regardless of the Taycan’s 2-speed transmission.
What races, where?

A Tesla Model 3 Performance with Unplugged Performance parts
Both cars met the series requirements and the powertrains were unmodified. Regardless, the Taycan lost due to thermal limitations. It was good for distance equal to about one lap of the Nurburgring, but not much more.

Modified how? The article doesn’t state. Toss the results because, well not stock.
This allowed two Tesla Model 3s — one with Unplugged Performance parts and another fitted with Mountain Pass Performance parts.
If Teslas were so good, they wouldn’t need aftermarket parts.

Article does state brakes and suspension for the winning car, but the Taycan finished 6th behind ALL the Model 3s, and after getting thrashed in the first 3 races, the Taycan team didn’t bother to show up for the 4th race - ?‍♂

Taycan driver even mentioned the Taycan’s throttling issues as the problem.

The Model 3s also lost power as the drivetrains heated up, but not nearly as much as the Taycans

The Taycan driver finished behind all Teslas because he overheated his battery trying to stay ahead of the MODIFIED Teslas.

It’s just a matter of how much you want to spend. Any meaningful comparison needs to be done with vehicles in stock form, otherwise it’s just a matter of funding.

That article is from 2021, so certainly not valid for the Taycan- the refresh has introduced thermal endurance improvements, and one of the software updates my MY22 got at its first service last week was described as "thermal management". In fairness, the Teslas may also have been improved in this area.

You asked in which race Teslas had beaten Taycans. I provided the links, and you've been trying to spin the facts ever since. Maybe don't make blanket statements without knowing all the facts in the first place.

Facts:
  • The same team that fielded the Taycan also fielded one of the Teslas.
  • We don't know what modifications may have been present on the Taycan, nor do we know exactly what modifications were done to which Teslas.
  • The Taycan finished behind all the Teslas in the races.
  • The Taycan's thermal limitations caused the Taycan to lose, as it's clearly the faster car until it hits its thermal limits, as mentioned by the driver and team.
  • The team chose not to race the Taycan after the first few races.
