Just got two new front tires on my Taycan. When turning on the car, it indicates the detection of new tires, which goes away- but the Tire Pressure Warning light does not- it stays on while driving. Can I troubleshoot this myself or have to take it back and have the techs do the configuration?

To change the TPMS settings on your Porsche Taycan, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Vehicle Menu:
    • On the central PCM touchscreen, select the car (vehicle) icon.
  2. Navigate to Tire Pressure Monitoring:
    • Tap the 'three dots' in the lower right to access more options.
    • Select Vehicle Settings and choose Tire Pressure Monitoring.
  3. Select Tire Type and Size:
    • In the TPMS menu, go to Tire Selection or Tire Type.
    • If you want to reset or update the monitor, select a different tire or wheel size temporarily (it does not matter which one).
    • Then, re-select the actual tire type/size you have installed—this will prompt the car to initiate the re-learning or "Teaching In" process for the new or updated tire settings.
