FYI guys, the sales guy took all I shared seriously, he's handing the car to their most experienced "gold" tech guy who digs & has easy access to German HQ support.
All reassuring, should be fixed next week hopefully :)

Hello all, I'm in the same situation. can you share specifics as to what the fix was? Or point me in the right direction of someone to talk to regarding what was done? My dealer is going round saying all sorts of things, including my car doesn't have support for android auto (which is BS). Im clearly getting desperate and want to get my car back... any info is appreciated!

Hi there, correct, it's bullshit,
Summary of what I learnt in this forum & a few elsewhere :
All Taycans 2020-2024 are able to get their PCM at least to v3882.
Version 4360 was shipped with MY25 Taycan (also called J1.2 here), it is unclear at this time if it will be possible to update our J1.1 versions (MY20 to 24 included).
If I'm not mistaken there's 1 guy who was able to do it on a J1.1 but not official, maybe a risk of brick etc... I've flagged that "to be followed" :)
What Porsche calls "software cluster" v35xx gave Android Auto cabled to all Taycan, while v37xx gave wireless capability.

Here's what I submitted to them in writing, and I told them "it's impossible, each & every Taycan is capable of having it, so either you didn't do some of the updates, or you did but something went wrong, and you have to re-do it, step by step.
It worked :)

And the conclusion : dealer sent me the picture of Android Auto showing in my PCM :)

I think it's what happened, I'll ask when I pickup the car but pretty sure they won't exactly say what they did, except for this "expert" guy taking care of it - I'd have to talk to him to know what he did - I'll try, I'm curious :)

If theyre not willing to provide specifics regarding the fix to you, maybe you can let me know who and what dealer got it taken care of so I can recommend my service advisor reach out to them for the solution.

You'd think they have some sort of knolwegebase with this info, but I suppose not...

I think if you translate in English the word doc I attached earlier, to show your dealer that it's definitely not only possible, but mandatory, proven by many members on this forum, including me very recently then it should do the trick.

I'm in France so it's Porsche Center "Paris Ouest" (in Poissy actually) their "technical sales" guy is named Bryan (very American name btw lol), but I don't know the name of the "expert" tech guy who looked into it.
My sales guys was the one who initially uncovered a MY20 Taycan which did have Android Auto, he looked up his own database and saw it was "added" to the car in July 22.
Starting from there, I digged further & further here & elsewhere, sent him the doc you have (latest version), so he also had enough "proof" to request that their expert tech looked into it.
Other than that it's really their job to do it (as well as any & all recalls etc)

Unfortunately the dealer i am working with in the USA is very incompetent so I'm doing the work for them to ensure they dont send my car back with no resolution. its been with them for a week now with no progress, they are waiting to hear back from someone, who knows who exactly.

Here in the USA its extremely common for 2020 models to have android auto support. I created a forum inquiring 2020 owners, and it seems like everyone has it except for us lucky ones who didnt receive a proper update.

I will take a look at the doc, thanks and good luck!
