Cruise/innodrive related?

This has happened to me twice in nearly 3 years of ownership. Exactly as described above. Not cruise related. Hasn't happened in well over a year, def unnerving and a safety issue when happening.

Do you have either Adaptive or Innodrive cruise? My guess was a malfunction there, with Innodrive the more likely one.

Quite sure I don't have innodrive and I'm not sure about adaptive. Not something I would have knowingly spec'd. I honestly haven't activated cruise once since owning the car.

Gearbox failing to switch / engage

Happened to me also once, while switching to Revert, while the car was rolling slightly at 0mph forward due to slight incline - blaming the old feeling of the brake pedal before the ecu update

The car switched to R, but when pressing the pedal it jerked and didn’t do anything. Switching it to neutral and again to revert fixed it

Doesn’t seem like Taycan has a basic software condition check before actually trying mechanical engaging the gearbox, so I would assume similar can happen while cursing also, and it tries to switch from gear 1 to 2 or the other way around, and something doesn’t align completely, some conditions aren’t quite met
