Hi I’m trying to only charge at home from 12 midnight until 5am.

please can you advise in a simple way how to achieve that on the app?

which ever way I do it, profiles etc it just starts charging as soon as plug in.

thank you in advance.

You can set your general profile to a low value (like 25%) then it should only go to the value when plugged in. If you add a repeated timer for the off peak hours it should then charge up to the value you set in your timer at the specified time.

Note that the "minimum" set on your profile is likely causing this; if you plug in below that minimum value it will charge regardless of schedule. Unfortunately this cannot be set below 25%.

What I used to do, to achieve what you're after:
-Profile set to 25%, start/end time of charging window
-Timer set for every day,6AM, 85%

What I do now, using a Wallbox which enforces the charging window itself:
- Profile set to 85% and "Optimized charging"
- No timer

You need to set a profile without a location, then set to eg 85%. This then will limit the charge to 85% but will allow you to set times to charge. As soon as you set a profile with ‘home’ as a location, the minimum charge then becomes a ‘charge to this level asap’ . Designed to allow you to always have a minimum charge level when at home in case of unplanned outings.
So I have only one profile:
location independent,
85% (this is now your max charge level limit bizarrely).
Optimised charging.
then use timers to set charging at your required times, or use your wall’charger’ to set the charging times.

I have a wallbox too. I'd like to adopt the same charging profile as yours (the actual one). Plugin the car outside of the wallbox charging window, is the Porsche app sending an error message after the initial handcheck and each time you go back to the MyPorsche app?
The charging seems to start properly when the Wallbox time window opens though... Do I just have to live with the error and forget about it?

Yes - I ignore the errors.

Thanks. I tested this schema today and worked. Interestingly, no error at the end of the Wallbox time window if the car's charging session has ended first. Profile adopted!
