So added the timers @85% and last night it didn’t charge at all. Getting pretty frustrated now. Removed the timers and immediately started charging.

My porsche is on my iphone, web portal is iPad, more screen estate. It’s the same API, just another front ens.
Can you show a screenshot of the app profile page on your phone? Under details functions charging profiles

Do you have a profile selected called home with your location, minimum charge set to 85%, and ‘optimized charging’ selected? Also, no timers set up?

You must have a logic conflict with your setup from your HEM config through active profiles and now timers.

Back to basics and as a test bypass your HEM to remove any tariff programming, remove all profiles and remove all timers. Disable optimised chsrging Then add a basic profile and timer setup.

Alternatively,.test on a public AC EVSE together with a basic profile and timer combination to see if that behaves differently.

Alternatively, test on another home setup which is 100% dumb in terms of programming and apply a basic profile and timer combination.

Hi Raphie,

I am encountering the same problems with my Taycan and Tibber. Indeed the Tibber Smart Charging featuere disables any profiles within the MyPorsche App and won't start with any profile enabled. When I activate a profile after the Smart Charging already has begun, Tibber stops at the maximum charging level of the profile, but: it also deactivates the profile after finishing charging. Next time it will charge to 100% again.

Best solution would be to set a max charging level within the tibber app ... like it has a min charge level as well.

Regards,
Simon

Porsche Taycan One more time: 85% Charging IMG_9FC4F42FF122-1

I read this as charge to 80% for daily use, and don't go over 85% if it's over 86F outside. The 85% general charge is only mentioned in passing in the app. This is the newest digital manual, and the paper manual for my 2023 says the same.

What is right here?

OMG, Porsche so behind on technology :( They seem to think a digital manual is the high tech solution, rather than write proper software which would hide all these policies they push into the driver, such as “avoid using range mode after DC charging when it’s hot outside”. The proper solution is to modify range mode to cool the battery anyways if used after DC charging in hot ambient temperatures. They could even pop up a warning telling the driver that, maybe even give the user an option to override and squeeze a bit more range out of the car at a cost of cooking the battery a little bit.

Charge to whatever you need to use.

Don't take the guidance literally and enjoy the car.
