Dashcam prep purely adds a fuse into the front fuse box. You still have to wire in the dashcam at 6 hours labour. Hardly ‘preparation’

yes, that’s what I was referring to. You unfortunately lose that very useful view with RPA

You can’t have the Porsche rear camera unless you have the pre-wiring.

Getting the ambient lighting option also makes it so the door are pre wired for puddle light, even if you didn’t get the puddle light option. Or else you won’t be able to install aftermarket puddle lights

Porsche dealer here mentioned to me they can do front rear dashcam, and it's a popular work done by them. They wire front and back, mentioned it will be clean work. I don't want it. Just sharing. The dealer is Leith Porsche in Cary, NC, USA.

Boot space reduction (would be nice to know exactly what the difference is, other than a quoted change in number of litres capacity - I understand it just raises the height of the floor by a couple of inches)

I believe the difference is the mounting of a sub-woofer in the recess under the boot floor, reducing its capacity, but makes no difference to the main boot itself.
I imagine there will be a difference in the sub shape so the under floor storage area may be a different recess shape depending which.

Thanks. Would be interesting to know - exactly the information I want to know, but cant find out easily - what exactly are the differences and compromised between base, Bose and Burmester - hence this thread
Maybe some photos of the under floor storage area for each option would be good. Ultimately I didnt care, as I wanted Burmester anyway

22kw - bloody expensive and never used it in 1.5yrs

I know the original post was about adverse effects (great post by the way) but nevertheless:
The value of the 22kW depends on how you travel. If you are driving European road trips there are plenty of 3-phase chargers in town centres, car parks, hotels etc -- and charging at 3x speed may be worth it. It's not useful for home charging unless you have 3-phase (which in the UK very few do).

Agreed. Anyway, my car is currently up on blocks having the 22kw charger I’ve never used replaced! So I definitely don’t like them.

Is the US the same as the UK, in that the 22kW option requires 3-phase for any benefit? Reading other posts, i presume not - due to the crazy way the US 240v feeds work?
I believe I am correct in saying single phase is max 7.4kW (with or without the 22kW option). If you have 3-phase then its 11kW without the option and 22kW with.
Ill add that to post 1 if so - just want to confirm if its different for the US.
