Ordered: Crayon Taycan Turbo S

It took 6 months but I finally put my order in last week for a build slot in May. My Porsche centre was allocated a single Turbo S and I was lucky enough to be top of the list. Sales rep also mentioned that due to the Felicity Ace sinking in the Atlantic, that allocations that were previously assigned to them were being removed by Porsche. Luckily he submitted my order a few weeks ago so it was in the system as ordered and I just needed to change spec. Delivery should be around June but with current world events I doubt that will happen. There are only 5 Taycan Turbo S in N.I so should be a pretty rare car!

Cheers Rob, what interior did you go for? I was getting sick of black interiors so wanted to go crayon inside too, but I thought it was a bit much. The crayon seat belts scratched the itch for me plus a few bits of carbon.

I’ve a crayon turbo (not S) … it’s my second Taycan

I wouldn’t be sure how a dealer can tell you facts about Taycan numbers in Northern Ireland mind you!

You’ll love it! Range does seem to be more of a consideration for Turbo vs 4S but perhaps that’s a winter thing with less favourable consumption. Public charging in Northern Ireland is rubbish for Taycan drivers / charge requirements though in fact only one 350kw charger (bar the expensive option at Porsche dealerships) IONITY CityNorth dublin where the 2nd IONITY is faulty … the cable from the charger barely reaches the car too!

I did the Bordeaux/black interior with the red seatbelts My wife wanted red interior and i think it looks really nice with a light exterior

I should clear that up, they said they have sold 5 in total so accounting for some bought on the used market I doubt there will be that many about.

Your turbo looks great! Crayon is a fantastic colour.

Yeah I suspect home charging will be the way forward, and I don't usually venture outside of 200 miles unless it's for a holiday

Congrats and good effort getting the allocation. I ordered a ‘common’ CT4S ? back in December so can’t see OPC Belfast getting in touch anytime soon alas. For a wee place, Porsche seems to do rather well in NI.

Yes I love the colour and have a Macan S in same colour.

I went with Race-Tex (or “Alcantara”) interior and I love it …. Adds a nice reel to steering wheel too plus door pillars all give the appearance / feeling of better fitting interior trim / less squeaks than my previous Taycan interior.

The Bordeaux red is really nice too - perhaps an option in the future. I saw that finish on a Cross Turismo when picking up my latest Taycan. I really think it will look great on Sports Turismo if Crayon remains a popular colour.

Congrats on the CT4S! I was going to buy a 4S instead of a Turbo S but realised the residuals are higher on the Turbo S vs the 4S I had spec'd. They were coming out close to the same price on PCP as Porsche don't count extras into the residual.

For a wee place, Porsche seems to do rather well in NI.

Its crazy the amount of luxury cars in NI for the size of it. Pretty sure there is a fella in Bangor who owns a Ferrari La Ferrari which is not built for the roads around here.

I know what you mean and I was contemplating doing similar. Opted for the 4S in the end - maybe next time ?.

Beautiful Paddy. I just got the Turbo S yesterday with those wheels. They are better in the flesh than on the pictures. Hope u get the car this month. I have a 4 week delay due to an amplifier issue with the sound system.

Yeah … Bangor Ferrari driver lives next to a mate of mine I’m trying to talk into changing his Panamera GTS to join our “Taycan” brigade!

Love my rims with black gloss detail and altered brakes on Turbo spec to black too but tad negative impact to range (struggling to get better than 2.7m/kwH on my Turbo which at least is an improvement from 3.0 during colder weather! (Regen “on” too!)
