I think something spilled on my car while it was parked in the garage. Looks like paint, but Im not sure. I took the car for wash and they were able to clean it. The person tried rubbing it (and now you can see scrapes on the PPF)

Any suggestions how I can remove this. Do the scratches on the PPF self heal ?

Thanks.

Ppf does self heal, to an extent. The self healing is initiated by heat. Try a heat gun or just park it in the sun.

how do I get the paint off ?
Depends on what type of paint. Of it's like house paint, you can probably use paint remover on top of ppf and it would be fine... So long you don't just let it dwell. If it's like over spray, I think you could proba ly claybar it. Did you have ceramic applied on top of the ppf?

The way I see it is that the ppf did it's job.

I think the paint has been there a few weeks as I was away and the car was in the garage. I’m not sure what it is.

Is it just "drippings" from the ceiling? I.e. likely lime deposits from concrete. Sounds like your best bet is to drop it off with a detailer to see what they can do. They will likely need to use something with light acid to disolve the lime.

If you just want to get rid of the microscratches, you can also try gyeon ppf renew with a da polisher to try to knock down the scratches.

I would remove foreign paint with a detailing clay bar and detailer spray (or car wash shampoo) as lubricant. That should be the least invasive to your car or PPF. The only time you would want to avoid the clay bar is when going over the film edges as it would slice the bar and leave residue on the edge (and use a microfiber towel or toothbrush to remove in that case).

For accelerating the self-healing on the PPF, can try a heat gun as mentioned or letting it sit under hot sun. Can also try boiling some water and pouring on the surface.

Those scratches look shallow enough it should come out with heat. Just poor hot water over it (use slightly cooled boiling water, not from the tap). Will be safe for the body panel but just avoid getting it on the glass as the heat may crack the glass.

You can also try to buff it out lightly with any generic paint scratch repair compound available at any big hardware store.
