PCM Problems

2022 RWD one month old. Two major problems. First issue, this has happened 3 or 4 times. The PCM would just hang. Wouldn't load any Data, maps, radio stations etc. Dealer said try rebooting the PCM. Hold the Start/Stop button for 15 seconds. After a couple of attempts this cleared the problem. Second issue, PCM hangs again. This time the word PORSCHE just blinks on the PCM. To compound the problem the PCM Start/Stop button is greyed out and unavailable. Can't turn the PCM off or on. Waiting to hear back from the dealer. Anyone else have these issues?

Have the tried the engineer reset trick? Something like tapping with 2 fingers on the top left or top right, don't remember which.

Touch with two fingers next to each other in the top right corner of the main display. That reboots into the engineer menu. From that menu, just select 'reboot to normal mode', confirm it, and wait for the system to reboot. That's the only way to actually fully reboot the PCM without messing with the 12V battery / fuses.

Not had the entire issue as described but many are related.

Nuclear option - Soft reboots may not work so either pull PCM fuse or disconnect 12v battery (for less than 5 mins) to force a full system restart.

Other thoughts - try secondary Porsche ID and key fob to force a different login, check car is in an area of good cellular connection as it may be struggling to connect on startup, raise a case with Tech Support as your account could be corrupted or similar.

Pulling the PCM fuse is probably the cleanest restart for all PCM and related systems.

right side of dashboard. Fuse #2. Look at the manual.

Unfortunately even after the upgraded software version the PCM fails to load about 10-15 percent of the time so the two finger reboot is the only way I have found to get the PCM to reload. Not sure what I will do with this car when my lease is up. I like the driving aspect but the software is garbage.

Perhaps safer to do the 12v battery disconnect (<5 mins).

Hello, I have the same problem. How did you solve it? But my screen is fully black.
Did you change something with the fuse? And the 2:nd fuse is the fuse that are marked?
