Just had my monthly invoice through and, whilst all my Ionity fees are coming through at 30pp unit, the charge at Porsche Centre Leeds also includes a service fee of 36pp minute. There was no overstay - I was there 20 minutes charging all the time.

I can't clearly see this in any T&C's and have raised it with Porsche and Leeds. Seems a bit sneaky to me...

Every charge put through the Porsche Charging Service – has both a energy & time element to it – EXCEPT for IONITY where you are only charged for energy consumed.

The specific details will depend on the country you are charging in and is outlined in a number of places including in the "Charging" app.

Here is a screenshot for the UK:

Anyone know if Porsche Tewkesbury has accessible chargers out of hours? Planning to drop in on a long drive North today.

Have you checked My Porsche App as they've finally added UK Porsche / Porsche affiliated EVSEs in the past day or so?

Select the EVSE and it should provide access details.

Thanks, I have, no restrictions on the Porsche app, but Zap-Map says out of hours access is restricted, hence the question.
Not far off the M5 so will just pop in on the way past and take my chances unless someone pops up with a definitive answer.

As a follow on, and maybe stupid question, why do Porsche charge differently than Ionity? Going upto Perth and these are my two options...looks like Porsche Centre will be charging much more !

I charged at IONITY Perth a few times and always found it great – never even considered Porsche Centre there. Which is a pity given the investments the centre's are making. I'd hope they change to match IONITY – maybe when Porsche more formally roll out their "brand appropriate" charging centres!

Porsche are not Ionity so different (more sympathetic) business model - not sure if you are charged for overstaying at Ionity though. Choose Ionity as there's a Starbucks on site.

The definitive answer is that they are not available out of hours. Sorry if this is too late for you. They are behind their barriers. In the longer run I think they have rented some land to Ionity and there will eventually be an accessible Ionity charge station there. But that won’t help you now!

Thanks for the reply, it was too late, but it was so close to the junction that it was worth a try. Will be stopping at them on the way back South as they are perfectly positioned to break up my journey.

Yes - it was this "per minute" charge that caught me out - adds about 50% to the cost

Agreed...happened to me at Glasgow Ionity when it only charged at 80kwh even though 25%SOC...ie I paid more for a slower charge!

that sounds wrong, using Ionity with the Porsche Connect card/app only charges per kWh, there is no per minute charge.

How warm was your battery at the start of the session?

That's right. Hence why I raised it with them and they have corrected the invoice.
