The best deal I have found for Taycan cabin air filters is from Pelican Parts ( less than $20 ). I haven't found an independent Porsche shop near me that has a PIWIS tester that can reset the service reminder. What I did was do the work myself and save the receipts and paid my dealer for an inspection that reset the service indicator. That cost $180.

This is a question for the Taycan forum owners who plan to keep their vehicle beyond 2-4 years. Has anyone considered or purchased a Porsche Scheduled Maintenance Plan? I just took my 2022 for 2 year service and everything was fine unless you consider the $970 cost not fine. To cover the 40K and 60K checks I was quoted $5170 which seems like a lot for just inspections and filters/fluid but I understand that a 60K Porsche inspection can be quite pricy. As an aside, I decided against an extended warranty since it's only offered by 3rd parties, it's hard to tell what will break down in an electric Porsche, and at this point I'd rather self insure than give my money to somebody else ahead of time.

May i ask WHERE you had your 20K service done for the $970? The Irvine, CA dealership where i reside (Orange County) quoted me a whopping $2,639.00! Obviously, i'm shopping around. Thanks so much.

FWIW I plan to keep my 2022 RWD for a long time, so I bought the 6 Year / 60,000 mile maintenance plan for US$4,675 in June 2022 from Porsche Chandler (a suburb of Phoenix AZ USA).

• US$770 for the 2 Year / 20,000 mile service
• US$1,830 for the 20K and 40K services
• US$4,675 for the 20K, 40K, and 60K services

This is helpful but the cost structure does not align with the actual maintenance schedule. Also, paying upfront voids any opportunities to save on DYI items (cabin filter, wipers, remote battery replacement, etc.) and to score free maintenance during recalls such as brake fluid flush with the brake hoses recall. However, knowing how Porsche can jack up prices over time for parts and labor, it is hard to tell, who will come ahead.

20k miles / 2 years: Short Checklist, Brake Fluid Flush, Cabin Filter.
40k miles / 4 years: Longer Checklist, Brake Fluid Flush, Cabin Filter.
60k miles / 6 years: Short Checklist, Brake Fluid Flush, Cabin Filter, Brake Pads only at 6 years.

Nowhere it states that Wiper Blade replacement or Remote Key Batteries are part of the maintenance, so if they go by the book, then this would be out of pocket. Also, Tire Sealant compound is checked and replaced only if expired. I do not like the one that comes with Taycan as it does not have the compressor yellow valve, so I would be getting a Cayenne version on my own for $135 anyway. I replace Cabin Filters myself ($27 for 2 filters and 10 min of time) every 5k miles or 6 months since in a year it turns into a mold nest, so I would not wish anyone to wait 20k miles and 2 years to replace one, and if not doing it yourself, ask the dealer to keep the old one for you to inspect, that would change your mind quickly.
