This has probably been asked a few times before. Just wondering why my car is charging outside the selected profile.

I have set a profile up with location settings and preferred charging times between 00.30 and 04.30. However the car is charging even before this.

What am I doing wrong?

Profiles work on the basis of having a minimum charge (state of charge SOC) before taking anything else into consideration (e.g. timer settings).

If you have a profile with 85% minimum charge and you plug your car in with a current SOC of 70% then logically because of the profile the car will start charging until it reaches 85% and then pause.

Strongly advise you to read the manual as this is clearly articulated there. Additionally, there are videos on this forum to assist.

You must use a timer in conjunction with a profile to charge how you would like.

The app itself also explains this (info icon beside minimum charge) shown below:

I use these timer settings for a daily 85% charge and a profile which has a minimum charge of 25%. Car will only start charging immediately if it has <25% charge when I plug it in and will pause when it reaches 25% waiting for the timer window (my off peak) to charge to 85%.

I just wanted to say thank you for this excellent explanation. This is all a bit over complicated IMO but it does make more sense to me now. People like you who take the time to post helpful details are an asset to the group.
