Hey everyone,

I recently had the "alarm sensor" fix from Porsche, but I'm still having the issue. Is that common? I called them back, and they said to bring it back in - but confirmed they replaced the sensor. I have a hard time believing I need to double-lock my car every time to avoid the alarm going off.

Also, whenever my wife drives the car, it reverts all of my settings. Are settings caused by key, or something else? Every other day she takes it, and I have to set all of my settings again when I get back in. But, if I get in after the last time I drove it, everything is fine.

Thank you!

After alarm sensor update, everything should work fine - no need to disable interior sensor.

Have you saved your settings using the door control? It should associate that setting with the key currently in use.

Does your wife use a different key?

i had the update on Friday I got an email saying a sensor would be replaced but when I called in, they said the first step is a software update and then if that doesn’t solve, they also replace the sensor. But when i went in, they went ahead and replaced the sensor and did the update.

So far, everything seems to be working ok.

Settings are typically saved with the Porsche Connect ID and key used.

If there are two drivers then create a primary and secondary Porsche Connect ID and use one key per ID.

Unlocking the car with the fob will identify the user and load the various settings (Comfort etc).

With Comfort Access I've noticed that if you don't use the keyfob to unlock that the previous user settings will be assigned.

You can log out and then in again to refresh but as a plan b save your settings to one of the memory options in the door panel.

Currently have mine at the dealer getting this sensor fix. Even with the double lock "fix" the alarm would go off anyway. =_=
