I thought the same thing last night when I read that!! I just didn't want to burst anyone's bubble or call them out. But that set off my BS meter BIG time. Just say they're all well-protected, which I'm sure is the case. Often indoors at our U.S. ports as I've come to realize after doing some research. But to act like they care more about one production piece than another, when they're designed to ALL be sold isn't logical at all.Huh? To me that would BE the reason not to believe him. It sounds like something an SA would tell a customer because he believes that is what the customer wants to hear. Think about it, why would Porsche take better physical care of sold cars than unsold? I mean it might be conceivable that Porsche would prioritize their shipping/deliveries, but saying pre-sold cars are physically protected better during transit than inventory cars makes absolutely no sense! "Yes sir, your car will be meticulously bubble wrapped in transit, but the inventory cars we don't care to protect against the elements, we repaint them anyways and put in a new battery before we put them into the showroom". I would be willing to bet what he said above is absolutely untrue.

(but I doubt it). At the production of my car he informed me very happy delivery in 2 weeks and the week after stop delivery +3 weeks and now maybe +6 months
Here's my update after going to the dealership yesterday. I decided to test drive the only Taycan 4s they had, which was lower spec'd than the one I ordered. I was determined to just pick that car up instead and cancel my order. It has leather, which mine doesn't, but was missing RAS, the technology package, parking assist, ACC, etc. Holy crap this car is FUN to drive! I had forgotten what the experience was like since I haven't been in one since July of last year. My wife and I went back and forth... Do we take the used car now, or wait and get what I wanted? You know what, to my surprise after that test drive, I decided this car is just simply worth the wait. I can't find anything like it on the market and an EQS or Tesla just does not scratch that itch for me. I think I'd be upset with myself if I settled just because I wasn't patient enough. So for others who are thinking about cancelling, maybedo another test drive to remind yourself of what you're waiting for. It definitely made me feel better oddly enough...
