RANT: Why won't Porsche fulfill recalls???

Just an FYI for Taycan owners in the Sacramento/Northern CA area. Both Niello Porsche dealerships (Porsche Rocklin and Porsche Sacramento) have the parts for the brake hose and EVSE cable recalls. Scheduled mine for this Tuesday at Porsche Sacramento with loaner car...

I got some good news - my appointment for Monday has the parts for the brake recall, AND they asked me to bring my charger to fix that too.

Finally things are getting fixed!

I'm due for my 2 year/20k but I'm probably going to skip it. I changed the tire goo, wiper blades and pollen filter myself. I did break the cover to the pollen filter getting in (doh) but the replacement was only $20 online.

Porsche at this point can perform all recalls related to software updates, brake hose and charger cable replacement. I guess they are realizing how important it is for all open recalls to be addressed as quickly as possible.

Got my car back!

I can't say the brakes feel any different...which I guess means mine were fine.

Amusingly, the charger recall "fix" turned out to be just taking away the NEMA 14-50 plug and flashing firmware on the device. An updated cable is forthcoming, apparently.

Lastly I had them install some trim pieces on the driver's side that were damaged in the roof repair. (The lit insert on the front sill, the whole back plastic trim on the rear.). That was only $480 to install which was a pleasant surprise.

Skipped the 20K service entirely, as I did my own wiper blades, tire goo, and pollen filter. Brake flush happened from the recall.

The Smart Service option returned so I was able to reset all the timers.

When you say "Porsche CAN perform..." what does that mean? Obviously they have the technical capability BUT my dealer keeps telling me they do not have the parts...so have you details (please !) on how I can get this stuff done?

I had all applicable recalls done last week, only waiting on the brake hoses, they have been ordered by the dealership.
