Hi,

Has anyone measured the real time 0-60mph time for the GTS? Porsche state 3.5 seconds (or 0 -100kph as 3.7 seconds).

Porsche are known to be conservative, so I am hoping that the GTS may in reality be able to do say 3.2 seconds 0-60mph.

Just wondering if anyone can confirm? Thanks in advance.

Porsche claims 3.8 seconds 0-60mph for the 4S but Car and Driver tested it at 3.4 seconds so your assumption that the 3.5sec figure for the GTS is conservative is probably correct. Unfortunately, I haven't seen an independent test yet so can't confirm but 3.2sec for the GTS wouldn't surprise me at all.

From what I've seen, test figures for other Taycan variants are typically very close to Porsche's claimed times.

Since the initial getaway will be grip limited my guess is that the standard quoted times are with the standard tyres but most Independant tests will have been with demos optioned up to the gunwales so have wider tyres and therefore have a higher grip limit.
So no surprise at all.

Car and Driver Taycan tested the 4s at 3.4 seconds 0-60, Porsche states 3.8 seconds, and the Turbo S at 2.4 seconds, Porsche claims 2.6. These results are pretty consistent for a number of different posts/articles I've read. So with Porsche claiming 3.5 seconds 0-60 for the GTS I'd expect the performance to be around 3.3 seconds 0-60, but I haven't seen an actual 0-60 test for the GTS yet, but then I haven't really been looking.

Aren't Car & Driver standing acceleration times typically better lower than official and tested figures from outside of USA, because they don't measure reality- ignoring the first foot travelled, which would add around 0.1 to 0.2 seconds, because that's how drag racing does it?

it's very standard to not quote rollout. almost all 0-60 times are quoted without rollout whether by accident on on purpose.

however, since C&D's times are consistently quoted without rollout, we can compare the GTS (eventually) to the 4S with the same measurement criteria, and the relative difference will be accurate.

for what it's worth, porsche quotes the 4S at 3.8, and even with rollout C&D measured 3.6. So porsche is as per usual under-stating their own times.

Doug DeMuro said "porsche told me it's a 3.2 second 0-60" in his vid so that makes me think it's a real world 3.2

Carwow just tested it. 1st attempt...7 ? seconds to 60mph (not 100kph). Final attempt...holding the GPS timing unit out of the window...3.55 seconds (these are real times, not cheaty US rollout fudged ones. Same reviewer previously did a 2.81 in a CT Turbo- I wouldn't expect the real margin between the 2 in identical conditions would be quite that much...maybe it's additional drag from having a window down ? )-

Love Matt Watson.
Doesn’t know his specifications though like a Taycan GTS Forum connoisseur!
Insulated glass, 4+1 seat and rear steer NOT standard on GTS!

I doubt that 0-60 time was accurate, the way he was doing it.

Have also never seen a tyre do that! One tread block ripped off.

However, every time I see a vid on the GTS, I just want one more :) (Whisper it....I'm warming to Carmine Red too!).

Pretty sure Porsche quote a 0-60mph time of 3.5s when using launch control.
Correct (and as stated by the OP). I don't think the Taycan maintains the trend of Porsche official times being very conservative. Maybe, for technical reasons, acceleration performance is more consistent?
