How much did they charge for the pre-warranty inspection?

I got the warranty cost from Brooklands last time my Cayenne was in for service. But forgot to ask about that.
£366, at Reading, seems to vary up or down from that based on what others have said.

Thanks, bit better then I expected, which says a lot about Porsche pricing. IME they’re worse then the Italians although that might have changed.

Yeah, feels like the so-called legacy automotive brands are clinging onto a legacy business model e.g. the prices Porsche charge for servicing an EV, there’s a whole other UK thread on that.

I paid £74k in August this year for my late registered 2024 GTS Sport Turismo with 9k miles recorded with an excellent spec. Having researched prices, discounts etc I didn't even ask for a discount during my sales discussion. I did however, ask for them to include a Porsche Mobile Charger kit and wall mount which retails at around £1300 give or take a few quid. I knew the PMC was very slow at charging but the installation of my Zappi wall charger wasn't scheduled for another month after the delivery date of the car (our first EV) so I wanted some sort of way to charge at home.

They agreed to chucking the PMC and wall mount immediately without batting an eyelid. I think you are more likely to get a receptive response if rather than asking for straight cash reductions on the price, you ask them to throw things in with the car that they can buy at trade price themselves but it looks like you are getting a bit of a decent deal if you take any items at retail price.

They also repaired a number of stone chips on the front bumper (common issue which is regularly fixed during pre-sale preparation) and Gtechniq Platinum'd the car (although to be fair, I believe this is included as standard anyway with an OPC approved used car).

But the biggest surprise was they beat my best offer (Motorway) for my part exchanged 2021 BMW M340i Touring. I hadn't even asked them about part exchange as many people said Porsche will generally 'low ball' px's if they weren't Porsche's. But they took my BMW (which was a bit of a Unicorn spec to be fair) and it immediately went into Sytner BMW's AUC stock.

P/X'ing my current car with Porsche made it all the more easier. My GTS was delivered and the M340i taken away instead of me dealing with 2 x different organisations like Porsche then WBAC or Motorway.

As an aside, I found the whole buying experience with Porsche to be excellent. Can't fault them at all.

PMC (no display) slow at charging? It's 9.6kW rated and on single phase will deliver up to 7.4kW when connected to a 32A supply and industrial connection. PMC should be supplied with 2 supply tails - 13A 3-pin (glacially slow therefore) or 32A industrial connector.

PMCC (with display) will provide up to 22kW but would require a 3 phase supply at home to deliver up to 11kW (default Taycan AC onboard charger maximum unless you have the 22kW AC onboard option).

In summary, either of the Porsche Mobile EVSEs will provide a full single phase supply option which is more than adequate for home charging.

Yep, nice one on the GTS! When I was looking the experience across different OPCs varied widely. I would imagine a Sytner franchise will happily retail a BMW in one of their BMW franchises so are up for a decent deal. Good that they will throw things in too. I don’t think there’s a one size fits all, it’s about getting the stars to align for the car, price, spec, experience you prefer plus due diligence.

I should have mentioned, I was charging through a standard domestic 13A 3 pin plug in the garage - the maximum I was getting was around 2.3 kWh with 10A. I only wanted a way to slowly charge up overnight until the Zappi was fitted. Handy to now have the PMC (no display) as a backup though. :like:

No worries.

To be clear(er) there is a PMC, PMC+ and PMCC. There are versions of the PMC which are rated at 3.6kW (16A) which I think were the originals issued with the Porsche hybrid models some years back. Part numbers below. If the dealer gave you this model then they were being a little bit "naughty" as the original supplied equipment (until they withdrew any EVSE with a new car) would have been the higher rated PMC if not the PMC+.

If you have the 32A amp tail then that will easily connect into the supply outlet that you now have should you have reason to.

PMC is not networkable but the PMC+ introduced this feature. I have the PMCC (kept it when I traded my GTS ST for a future acquisition) and to be honest the networking feature / display panel is somewhat pointless given the My Porsche App integration. Prior to this I had a 4S saloon which came with the then "free" PMC+ but due to supply issues I was given the PMCC.

Moot point now I guess but personally I wouldn't have paid for a different brand if the supplied unit was up to the task. Supply providers such as Ovo (Ovo Charge Anytime / Charge) work really well with the Taycan (direct integration with the PCM charging setup) for cheap as chips charging.

PMC part numbers:

Really the only thing I’d be interested in is the warranty. But I’m not sure how much margin the OPCs have on the warranty.

Also I contacted an OPC about a car wrt to battery SoH and they came back pretty quick with 91%. Which is an encouraging given my previous experience trying to get this info. Seems the policy change is being enforced. However they did caveat that with +/-5% which is a pretty big margin on a battery of this capacity :)
