Unfortunately, I knocked the drivers side manual charge port door of my Taycan while reversing out of the garage on Saturday. My excuse is that it was 05:00 in the morning and my attention was focused on the day‘s sprint competition at Goodwood Circuit,
Looking at the parts catalog on line, I see that the charge port door (9J1821248A) is separate from the actual charge port itself and that it has a separate trim panel (9J1821324) to be painted is the exterior colour. Fortunately, I only need the charge port door itself at ~£46 because the trim panel made a soft landing on my Elise parked next to the Taycan In the garage.
Does anyone know how to actually fit the charge port door to the car? How to get access behind the wing panel itself, etc and how to disassemble the old charge port holder etc.
I‘ll likely get PRC Reading to actually do the work, but I’d like to know what they will need to do so that I can mitigate the inevitable Porsche tax.
