I don't disagree with you at all....

But aren't you mulling over carbon wing mirror covers? :D
That and the carbon design package and the carbon door sills to keep everything uniform.

£5k of options at that point and does it look any better? No in my opinion and the design package rear screams Vauxhall Astra boy racer.

I'm not massively convinced.

It might make one easier to sell...but if both have pano' roofs (one normal, one electric) I'm not sure it would command 2k more.
I think on a 3-year old, £70k car, that £1-£2k extra would be about right.

Time will tell :)
Indeed! I doubt it will be on my spec anyway, as it seems it won't be available for some time on the GTS ST, despite the car launched with it to great fanfare!

I get the feeling the second hand Taycan with the electric pano roof in the UK that's £2k more expensive will be left on the forecourt where something similar specced sans the electric pano roof is available.

It's like the amusingly priced Carbon fibre options. On a car weighing 2 tonnes, it makes no difference to performance.

And in terms of looks, I don't find the aesthetics of carbon fibre with some varnish slapped over it any more attractive than leather or aluminium or even Race-Tex, which are all cheaper and nicer to the touch.
I don't think anyone is incorporating carbon options on their Taycan for weight reasons - it's purely because some people like the look and would prefer the appearance of carbon fibre rather than brushed aluminium, leather or whatever other options are available.

I'm choosing the carbon sports design package as I think it looks nice in carbon even if it does nothing. But I noticed the car doesn't have the winglet on rear sport design that I think adds to the looks that it does for other models unless you get the carbon.

Speaking of the winglet does anyone with the rear sports design diffuser know if it collects lots of dirt between the winglet and body panel?
