I know this is just cosmetic but looks unsightly on a nearly new Taycan and wasn’t expecting any rust on PCCB discs! Any ideas on removing it, sort of looks like rust is bleeding from the metal onto the ceramic disc. I’m guessing Porsche warranty won’t do anything.

Brake hard. Seriously, go on a isolated road, accelerate to 60 and brake hard to the point of ALMOST activating abs., but don't come to a complete stop, repeat it a few times. Should clean that right up, and make it nice and shiny again.

I don’t think that’s an actual breaking / friction area so hard breaking won’t help but thanks for the reply 👍

Instead of braking hard, the J1.2 has a function Settings > Car> Additional brake functions > clean brake which could be worth a try.

Front photo couldn't be uploaded but has less.
06/22 Taycan 67 k km.
I'm ok with this result.

As it results from the screws, it should be possible to treat them with anti-rust and conserve them.
Shouldn't bleed anymore than.

I think the OP is referencing the rust down by the bolts, not the actual braking surface area.

I would surely complain about that. The worst they can say is no. Then it would be up to you to disassemble and inspect which bits are actually rusting and then clean or replace those bits.

I have similar on my 1 year old car, the rotors are not rusted, seems rust discolouration coming from the screws.

I have a 10 year old GT4 with similar PCCB brakes with no sign of rust.

I agree it looks rubbish.

See photos, yellow callipers the GT4, the other is the Taycan.

Good to know, thx.
Will take the opportunity to compare and "pre-claim" on Porsche Approved with my dealership.

Any solutions on improving the appearance? Was thinking of trying some kind of rust stain removal product that’s designed for removing rust stains from ceramic tiles etc. Not sure if it’s a good idea or not as really don’t want to damage the disc!

I think the "cracks" are much more distracting than the small amount of rust from the bolts.

The "cracks" are perfectly normal for PCCB.
Seems to be only on Taycan because brakes are used often due to regen braking. I think PCCB on cayenne are nice and shiny. Mine kinda looked like that but after a couple of hard stops, they became much smoother and shinny looking.
