Send to vehicle does not work

Hello, new Taycan owner here. Car as is is briliant. Only one thing I am not sure how does it really work is planning the route. Basically, when I want to schedule some trip from mobile app, I find destination, calculate routing and click send to vehicle. It says it is ok. but when I turn on car, there is no destination in Taycan navigation. it is just default and need to put it there directly in car. Anything I am missing? trying it from Android phone and have MY23 4s

Do you have a Porsche Connect contract? I believe that is a requirement for sending routing to the car.

yes I have it. it was setup by dealer. So everything like pre heat and others works correctly. just this option reports it has been sent, but it is not in the car.

both cases are working for me. all other features work ok.

Send-to-vehicle did not work very reliably this weekend for me too. I think 1 in 4 of my tries (at different times) worked. This could be a server side issue.

EDIT - Plug & Charge also did not work at Ionity; I had to use the RFID card.

oh so basically shall I try over and over again? because have a car for a week only and tried it just twice.

It also takes a while for the route to "come" to the car.

So you might want to give it 1-2 minutes after the car is turned on.

Sadly, Porsche software is not very capable.

I also usually spam the send button, sending it 5-6 times to the car - i find it to be increasing the chances of "success"

Ah, that's never going to work, at least never did for me.

Send it on the way to the car, so at best 5-10 mins before departure.

The car is not continually connected to the network (the way a Tesla is). Therefore when you send the route, it goes to a server which will eventually find the car. I think it is supposed to wake the car up, perhaps by an SMS ping or something, but this can either take ages (while you sit staring at the phone) or fail altogether. Typically I find the destination data arrives AFTER you have already set off, perhaps as much as 5 minutes into the journey; I believe this is because when I start the car it connects to the network again.

well I would expect it will be same like when you pre-cool or something, like it wake up car and do the action, so when car is turned on. so when it starts, i would expect it will load a route, but seems there is sometimes issues about that. they are lucky car is so great itself

Maybe try them in tandem? Send the destination/route and then also send a horn or ventilation request to wake the car up.

I too find the Send to Car to be super unreliable. Most of the time I have to re-enter it in the car, since "5 minutes after you drive off" is pretty close to worthless.

That may work, like start cooling for example and send it to car when it is awake. It is shame anyway,but fortunately for me - it is still nice to have.
