My GTS ST was supposed to be here on 8/19. Two weeks ago I thought, no problem, it'll prob be here by the end of September. Woke up Monday morning to an 11/25 ETA

I don't have all of the original dates. I know for sure 8/19 was my second delivery date. It was originally end of July.

5/20/2022 - Scheduled for Production
7/09/2022 - Start production
7/21/2022 - Production completed
7/21/2022 - Ready for transport
7/21/2022 - In transit to Emden port
ETA 7/22/2022 UNKNOWN LOCATION - Arrival Emden port
ETA 8/5/2022 11/4/2022 - On vessel
8/26/2022 11/18/2022 - Entry port Baltimore, MD
8/19/2022 11/25/2022- Arrival Porsche dealer

Seeing some delay on my end as well. TYD still shows a tentative September delivery - but I'm not counting on it at this rate.

My Taycan GTS was supposedly at Emden Port on 07/04 - this was the "actual date of milestone" previously shown in TYD. Interestingly, TYD now shows 08/01 as the actual date of milestone for the "Arrival Emden Port" step. I'm not sure if that means my Taycan never actually made it to Emden Port on 07/04 or if it's still stuck there because they weren't able to load it on a ship.

I'm on the West Coast (Washington) so I assumed that I would be on the Glovis Sunlight that's currently at Emden Port and headed to Benicia, but I guess my car didn't make it onto this vessel either.

06/30 - In Transit to Emden Port
08/01 - Arrival at Emden Port (Previously 07/04 actual date of milestone)

I'd be interested to find out if this was generated recently or an old table your dealer sent you. According to yours, your car gets on a boat pretty shortly after finishing production, and would be on a boat faster than the rest of us who have already entered or finished production (we all got pushed back to 11/4 on boat)

Means that either yours wont hit the timelines your dealer sent, or ours will get a significant bump earlier than currently is showing on tyd

I placed the order 04 Aug 2022 with September allocation, the picture above was generated this afternoon, the dates also align with TYD timeline. also my order is scheduled for production even though my change freeze point hasn’t being reached. I couldn’t believe it either that’s why I asked . Hopefully it does get here on time.

I really hope for purposes of the tax credit that we take delivery before end of December. With the recent round of delays, I don't even trust the now 12/16 estimate to not get pushed into 2023

That tax credit will go away within the next 2 days once Biden signs the new legislation. No need to worry about December ?

“Purchased or entered into a written binding contract to purchase” ~ I would like to interpret that a receipt for non-refundable deposit (once freezed) and a build sheet under my name would qualify for this and it wouldn’t matter when we actually take the delivery to claim the old $7,500 credit. I paid my deposit and have the build sheet dated April 2022.

My SA called me earlier today about this. He said that the dealership is reaching out to customers about providing a binding contract so that we would be eligible for the EV credit. I thought that it wasn't taking effect until 01/01/23 but he said that apparently it will go into effect immediately as soon as Biden signs the bill.

He said he's not sure if this will guarantee eligibility for the EV credit, but the dealership couldn't get a clear answer from the state or anyone else so this is their best solution. Anyway, I looked over the contract and ended up signing it (expecting delivery in Sept) - perhaps this is an option other dealers can provide as well?

Wild west! I asked my SA today (expecting late Sept delivery), got this response:

"About the new tax law. We’re not sure how this is going t play out until it passes congress.​

Some say it takes effect as of January 1st, some say it takes effect once the president signs it.​

But there might be situations where ordered cars are still getting the credit. We’re just now sure.​

You have a purchase agreement showing you ordered the car. But it might be necessary to have a purchase agreement from the time you did the contracts.​

Which is usually a week before pickup at Porsche LA Center. Once we are sure about the exact rules, we will communicate this to our Taycan clients."​

I'm going to my dealer tomorrow. I also have a non-refundable deposit ($10k!) once the build locks so may be able to similarly have it serve as a binding purchase order
