You must be talking about a particular part of Italy, because every source I've found says winter tyres are not mandatory in Italy. I find it hard to believe people are switching to winter tyres in Reggio Calabria!The current regulation was introduced in 2010. It varies by region, but in general winter tires must be mounted no later than Nov 15 and until March 15. As an alternative you can carry snow-chains, but, as far as I know, none of the Taycan's approved tire sets support snow-chains (in fact, the chains available on the Tequipment web site can be used on winter tires only). Regardless, I do not think snow chains are a replacement for winter tires. But again, that's for another thread....
