Squeaky passenger seat

My car is in for service right now. The passenger seat squeaks when someone is sitting in it.

Service department says they fixed it but I won’t get the car back until early next week due to other issues. I will report back on the outcome at that time.

I know there are other threads that include some information about this but they can be difficult to find based on the titles so I started this new thread to make it easier.

This happened to my driver seat. We tried everything including stripping the seat down to the frame. Nothing fixed it. YMMV but that is the worst part of the driving experience now.

My car is back into the dealers for the 5th time regarding a squeaky drivers seat , there’s a campaign but as usual it’s not fixed mine so they want it again for 2 days , I find it hard to believe they can’t get it right after 4 goes

I hate to revive an old thread but what was the outcome? My passenger seat is clearly defectivr as the drivers seat doesnt have this horrible squeaking issue.

My passenger seat too is a bit squeaky at times. Goes away for a day if you move it a bit (up down front back)
Had Porsche look at it, they said it’s not a leather issue (duh) but a mechanical one inside the seat. They did not tell me in the clearest of terms but the gist was that it was probably not covered under warranty and they told me if I wanted to fix it i should be prepared to pay for a new seat. Naturally i said no.

First time I read about this on the forum. Happy you revived the thread. I am also interested in how it was resolved.

My drivers seat squeaks when pressing on in Sports+. I fixed it by turning the stereo up

I haven't but have a list of things to try from what ive been able to find, it appears to be the back plastic part of the chair itself--it squeaks constantly.

When you mentioned the back plastic, is it maybe this? If so, it requires the seat back to be taken off completely.

Not sure, but I’d bet it won’t be covered so you have to do it yourself. Good news is that if you have rattling headrests, you can kill two birds with one stone.
