Steering wheel column noise - low level whining

Has anyone encountered a low level whining when turning?

Yes. Service tech at the OPC suggested it's just the power steering pump functioning normally which you can only hear because it's an EV.

I'm not convinced it should be as noisy as it is but try my best to block it out. Ignorance is bliss

Low fluid in a traditional steering system will cause a grinding noise.
I doubt that electric steering would do it.

/s I also have this problem when I’m with my wife and I drive in sport plus. But in my car it is not a low level of whining but medium level

I have a whining noise at higher speed driving straight, a bit of steering turn stops the noise, its very annoying and my dealer couldn't identify the cause. I thought the break discs are touching the calipers so might be from steering rack.

I read some threads mentioning a whistling which was caused by the front hood luggage compartment and some simple painters tape fixed it. If you'll search whining you might find it on the Taycan thread. I'm searching and I swear I saw it earlier but now I'm not finding it.
