Hey quick question- does anybody when they come to a stop at a light experience a brief, repeated "lunging" sensation when your foot is on the brake? Like the motor is briefly surging or something? Its the weirdest sensation, but I've also had passengers experience it now. Its almost like if you were in an ICE car like you are easing off the brake pedal, and then quickly and forcefully reapplying it. Although it is can be pretty subtle when it happens.
Thanks in advance.

I haven’t experienced that.

Do you see any feedback on the power meter when this happens?

Does it occur as you are coming to a stop? (versus being already stopped)

No- nothing on the dash whatsoever that anything untoward is even going on.

No- I would say it occurs after I've been sitting a few seconds, usually in the first 30 seconds of sitting there.

Duly noted. The surging/clunking I experience is as I come to a stop when the rear transmission changes gear. Is it possible that is the case?

What percent of the time you stop would you estimate it happens?

Nope- I've felt that too. But this is almost like a "pulsing" through the drivetrain..... but feels distinctly like its coming from the motor.

I would say (and I'm trying to be realistic and not overestimate), that it occurs about 5-10% of stoplight stops.

Sorry, I don’t really have anything helpful to add. Just sitting in a doctors office killing time playing doctor with your Taycan.

Has it happened since the beginning or has there been a change?

Hopefully you can reproduce for the dealer, or maybe if someone else had experienced it, they can make the dealer diagnosis go quicker. It may worth a call to the dealer too. They may have seen it before as well.

I experience this with my MY22 4CT. For me it’s when I’m easing in to the garage. It’s a very tight fit, so I’ll sometimes break completely to get my bearings, and it will try to lurch forward ever so slightly. It’s happened to me at stoplights too. I’ve just started using the brake hold, makes my life easier.

This sounds familiar to me. It‘s a feeling like the car is repeatedly trying to inch/creep forward while the brakes are depressed—like a couple of times per second and it can continue to do it until you actually take off from a stop. The first time it happened I freaked out a bit thinking it had somehow gone into launch mode, haha. I feel like a few months went by after purchase before it started or at least until I noticed it with my 2020 turbo. Last year it underwent that big software update and that seemed to resolve it for me. So, it’s odd/disappointing that people with newer Taycans have the same issue as I assumed it was fixed via software for all Taycans going forward. After reading the replies here it sounds like a few of us have experienced this so I’d mention it to your dealer and see I’d they can dig up a solution.

I was having this symptom for about a week before I got the “Engine Control Error” and “Transmission Error”. It would happen when pulling into parking spaces/low speed maneuvering. I believe the root cause was a Speed Sensor. Will double check the invoice when I get to my office.

I have the same issue, don't notice it all the time, but when I do it is noticeable. Not that this is on point, but attached is a brake memo my dealer provided to me regarding my brake complaints including an issue with brake fade and pedal drop, with an inconsistent pedal feel. You might find it useful for reference on other brake issues.
