Does anyone happen to know the Porsche PN for the PMCC supply cable with NEMA 6-30 plug?

I ordered 7PP.971.678.T thinking it was correct but the pins at the PMCC end of the cable are not correct.

Thanks

for what porsche charges for their supply cables you can just order a mustart evse w/6-30 supply cable and other adapters

you can also order a 6-30 to 14-50 adapter from amazon and just dial down the amps to 24 amps on the pmcc lcd screen when using the adapter

if you have a pmc+ you can use the 50% button which will be 20 amps (less than 24 amps the value for 30 amp circuits)

neutral is unused in north american 240 charging - for 120v charging the 2nd pin is neutral - but the only plugs you are like to encounter are nema 5-15, 5-20, TT-30 and some “locking” plugs found on generators

the pmcc/pmc+ both deal seamlessly with 120v vs 240v regardless of the supply cable currently attached to the device - i know i’ve run some pretty scanky adapters to the pmcc’s 14-50 supply cable - as long as you dial the amps down via the pmcc settings it all “just works”

Best I can tell the 6-30 cable is currently unobtainable. You can order a 14-30 but all the above on cost effectiveness still applies.

once you have a 14-30 - the $20 nema 6-30 to 14-30 adapters are all you need from amazon

nema-nn to nema-nn are all safe cheap and effective as long as the nn’s are the same - as long as you are not changing amps the adapters will work and are safe

This is exactly what I'm using. The PMCC works fine at 24 amps.

Byers Porsche was able to order PN 7PP971678EA (Porsche 6-30 cable) - should be here in 6-8 weeks

Here is the adapter from a NEMA 6-30 outlet to a NEMA 14-50 plug:

https://www.amazon.com/Couplago-NEMA-6-30P-14-50R-Tesla/dp/B088CNTDH9

Just be careful to dial down the EVSE to 24 amps. If you don't dial down the EVSE and the EVSE pulls 50 amps, you'll either trip the circuit breaker (assuming you have a 30 amp breaker connected to your 30 amp NEMA 6-30 outlet) or possibly have an issue with your wiring (no bueno).
