That doesn't work in Europe because all L2 chargers, including Tesla have a Type 2 socket. This doesn't unfortunately mean the Tesla chargers always work – that depends on a DIP switch inside the charger. But I find that the one's that have been installed a while tend to have it switched to "All Cars" mode and work!
It is very easy to do and change dip switch. Some hotels are happy to do so. :lipssealed:

Interesting to know. My Tesla wall chargers worked fine with the Taycan so assume it’s open by default
Not if Tesla has "paid for" the chargers at destinations. Porsche also pays for hotels chargers if they want one and do not "lock them" to any particular vehicle brand. They only stipulate that if they have supplied the chargers for free and a destination wants to charge for their use, it can't charge for Porsche's.

For Ticino:
1. There are two ionity chargers near Bellinzona (one in each direction of the highway) which are very fast and are always functional.
2. Porsche Locarno has 2 fast chargers (I believe 320 KW)
3. As for non ionity, I suggest you download the Swiss charge app and pay as you use. It works with 90% of the non ionity chargers in Switzerland.

Most of the parking houses in Zermatt have a 11KW chargers so you are good there.

Bottom line is that you are very well covered and no need to worry. Italy,on the other hand though, can be a nightmare..

Damn, just realised that (of course) EU roaming won't apply in Switzerland. I mean, why would it? But I'm just so used to not thinking of having unlimited data anywhere in Europe.

Thankfully there are a lot of eSIM mobile providers in Switzerland so was easy to pick up a data package for a few Euro. But glad I realised – so easy to cross over the border and run up a large bill.

Dont most operators offer pretty cheap roaming extensions to CH if not already included? Who is your provider?

Vodafone Ireland – the extensions are limited to 0.5GB/day - which is too low for me some days. Also, getting to try out the "dual-sim" feature of iPhone's for first time.
