I’ve been shopping a higher-end sporty EV for months. I tested Tesla, BMW, Merz, and Taycan. Assessories aside, I was hooked by the Taycans’s razor sharp steering and supple suspension. I live on an Island, with few stops and lots of curvey coastland roads. I knew the Taycan would love it, and so would I. So I put in an order for a base (cause I’m past the age for track or drifting). It’s estimated delivery is July, and I’ve been told it will be the 4th T25 delivered in the state of Washington, US. The build code is PS3P7R45. Happy to hear your comments, but be gentle. I’m new to Porsche and many of you are very sharp nerds, in the best sense.

Not sure how sharp your bendy curves are, if you like going fast around them, I'd consider the PTV+.

In my Type R that was standard and you really could feel it pull the car tighter in the turns.

Very clean and thoughtful build for a Base. My inputs are the following:

1. PTV+ is essential to fully enjoy curvy roads.
2. HD headlights are an overkill since US does not have full matrix function, which is their main benefit, and the cost $16K to replace per my dealer if it every comes to that. Standard Matrix lights are more than enough but somehow no mention of PDLS+ functionality for them which is Auto High Beam. I would check with the dealer on that functionality since I would consider that very helpful for night island driving.
3. ACC is not checked assuming intentionally since you do not need for on the island driving.
4. Smoking Package is free and just a nice removable storage for cleaning cloth for example.

Launch info about headlights.
No mention of Auto High Beam for Standard Matrix Lights.
Assuming all fancy features for both are disabled for US market, since they are known as "matrix beam".

Thanks man! Same for me. Pulled the trigger on a 4S due in August.

I’ll be trading in my 2017 Targa 4S if anyone is interested. Sapphire blue with espresso/cognac interior. Only 30k miles. Can have with stock hp if you want 1 year CPO, or ~550 hp if that doesn’t matter (soft tune, high flow air filter, Soul sport cats with on/off switch.

My only suggestion, aside from what was already listed, is to just step up to the full leather slate grey interior.

I had the standard interior in my first Taycan, and then racetex/full leather on my GTS. The full leather is just a different level than the standard on the doors and the dashboard. The seat centers look sick, and do wish could get the racetex seats plus full leather doorcards and dashboard.... but alas, cannot. So I would default to a full leather interior if I had to make the choice.
