I have a 2022 Taycan 4S Cross that went in for the recall to extend the range. Rather than extending the range it reduced it by 40 miles.. Anyone else had issues and what sort of range are you getting? Mine has 21in Cross Turismo wheels and roof bars.

Mine dropped as well - from about 250 to 210. Apparently the big recall resets the estimator and supposedly the indicated range will creep back up when it gets use to your driving style etc. Not found that in my case, but with the recent temperature drop, range is reduced quite significantly anyway, so it's hard to tell.

@RGBArgee can you be more specific and define what kind of range you are looking for? Like range while just driving around town, or range while on a long distance road trip?

I just finished an 1,800 mile road trip in my '22 CT4s with 20 inch wheels fitted with Pirelli winter tires. I have had the latest software updates/recalls installed. Temps ranged from 15 degrees Fahrenheit to 55 degrees F.

I can share the details if you want to see range efficiency. My drive was more mountainous than most people will face, but the data might be helpful for you in case you are planing a long distance drive anytime soon.

Cheers

Same here….from approx 420km, down to 370, but cesrch over the forum, there were few large threads related to estimated range degradation after uPdate.
(CT4, 21” CT design wheels, no roof bars)

edit. One more thing - I’m expecting longer range at spring time, when battery/outside temperatures will be over 20C. Based on my experiences, when temp is more than 20, consumption goes down to 20kwh/100km or even below.

This unfortunately is entirely normal for most of us but less common on newer cars.

I lost 30% range on my MY21 4S after the uPdate and it has taken around a month to recover back to normal.

Your range drop will be temporary whilst the software recalibrates and after a few charging sessions.

Don't expect big gains in any case.

Pay more attention to your consumption than to the estimated range after a charging session - this is more meaningful and best taken when averaged over a reasonable journey length.

Consumption of 3.0 mi/kWh is reasonable (259 miles equivalent with Performance Battery Plus) and upwards of 3.4 / 3.6 mi/kWh is excellent.

Remember, in colder temps your range will drop significantly.

Glad to see this posted and hopefully things will improve.

I bought/picked up my CT 4S right after the uPdate was done, but range has been quite poor. I've seen 1.7 to 2.4 mi/kWh as my best (2.4)with most of that being interstate driving with cruise control on between 70-80mph. I have the 20" tires with Pilot Spot 4's.

When I dropped the car off for a detail appointment and battery temp was 60 F, my range was only 96 miles with 51% charge (180 total range at 100% charge if extrapolated).

After a days use 100 miles or so in -5 degrees my range still seems to be sub 200 miles. Best to wait for warmer weather I suspect.
